We've got the biggest news this month kiddies: according to the British gaming magazine NGC, Capcom is working on a remake of the original Resident Evil for the DS. The only details we have right now are that the game will use the same camera perspective as Resident Evil 4 and the touchscreen will be used for attacks.

Because this news is breaking, new details will most likely emerge soon. Check back here for the latest.

This had better not be another clusterfuck of clusterfucks like Resident Evil Gaiden was. :shudders: That it's a remake is sort of assuring, but nevertheless, I'll remain worried until I see some more information and perhaps some screenshots.
This has been another blunder by you friendly local idiot.

Not five days ago I wished for something very similar to this. Only I wanted every RE game remade with the behind the shoulder easy control easy aim style.

And only one of them was good. :D

So, what is this new one supposed to look like? Will they have chibi-fied version of the characters and zombies to kill? That would be both awsome and worth buying a DS for.

I never played a single RE game so this might be worth a buy.

Incidently, those DS games are pretty damn cheap. I'm afraid I'll go dirt poor by buying too much games once there are more titles available

I think it was a upgrade of the Director's Cut Version, It was basicly Resident Evil:Director's Cut with support for the new dual shock controller Sony put out.
