Which is better (laptop chips, so don't say get something better)? Essentially Dell D610 vs http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=BROWSE
Oh, and how do they compare in durability/quality?

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Because on the lower end it sucks(6200>X300, 6600GT>>X700), while higher end you have SLI, SM3(purty).Nephtys wrote:I did a little research a while back online, and most people seem to back up nVidia's 6X00 line more than Radeon's X300-600-800 series.

Isnt ATI releasing it's own version of SLI (Crossfire) that will be compatible with any two cards?
On the mid-high range Ati cards are good also, especially when you get to high end power supplies (Geoforce's cards arent as bad today as with the older cards, but still not as good as ATI's)

ATi has its own version of SLI, called Crossfire, which has 1 main problem: Currently it requires a master card(to take the current gen as an example), either of the X800 or the X850 varaiety, from THAT connect to any card card in that line.
The problem is the master card(retailers don't want another card to confuse buyers), and the Crossfire system itself, not giving the best of benchs compared to SLI.
Second, midrange(200$ price), ATi losses. you cannot twist 6600GT>X700 in any way.
300-400$, if you find an X800XL at a good price, it might beat out the 6800GT, however you do lose SM3, and with that, future power.
High end, most people think for the price an X850 will cost, its better to get a pair of something.
Another problem with ATi is the 7800GTX, which is totally kicking ass with its great aviability, while ATi's next gen card(R520), is apprently having yield problems.
Useless geek posting above.
