SW: (relatively speaking): MonCal. Actually I think all of the SW ships are pretty attractive, but the MonCal is the one that I like least.
ST: Galaxy class. I really really hate these ships.

We didn't need to know that.

My vote for Star Wars goes to the Executor. No, I'm kidding. It's R-47 Starchaser of TIE Fighter fame.

For Star Trek, I vote for Voyager. It's so. . . flat.

i like the nebulon b look

it's a damn cool looking ship, especially the nebulon b2 with the twin forward hull. Looks aside i cant help but think the thing would snap in two in hevy combat.

As far as Wars gos, I'd have to say the Nebulon B Frigate, it just looks to damned fragile.
Hm interesting... on some very high-res pictures somebdy put here a while ago, the Frigate looked like a lot of abandoned trucks tied together with duct tape. And I think it was the real thing from the movies.

I was never all that impressed with the Lancer frigate. Just a bulging thing with turrets facing every direction. No real design to it.

As to ST. Well many of the Frankenstein ships were damned ugly. This includes the Yeager class.

That's true. The Escort Carrier, some of the Freighters, the Dreadnaught and the Carrack Cruiser can all be classed in this area.

I agree. Does anyone else think that EU ships look like shit compared to canon ships?

yeah, I have the essantial guide and most of the EU ships are rather ugly, the VSD is one of the few decent designs.

I never minded the Carrack Cruiser or Dreadnaught. Its just the way they put the Lancer together just doesn't look right to me.

The Lancer not looking right doesn't surprise me as it was a 'Emergency' design to counter Rebel fighters on hit-and-fade runs at convoys. It was suppost to be a cheap replacment for Nebulon-B Frigates which were defecting and getting captured at an alarming rate. Also it allowed the Empire to deploy more Neb-B's in combat fleets where the chance of defection or capture goes way down.

Lancer is as ugly as a bucket of assholes. (I've always kinda liked the Medium Transports)

Excelsior refit is pretty ugly.

Anyone notice how Padme's Yacht in AOTC looked like the new Royal Yacht seen at the start without the front and the wings?

Wars: Hardcell class transports (Techno Union ships that the LAAT knock over)

Trek: Breen ship. It looks like they took all the pieces left over from the kitbashed model sets and glued it together at random.

All the full chrome Nubian ships looked cool, except for Amidala's mini-cuiser in AOTC (giant flying lawn dart)

And Frank, do you dare say the SR-71 sux0r? HERETIC! Prepare for destruction! Nobody expects the Exterminatus!!!!

To those who've assumed I don't like the SR-71 from my post here, you misconstrue. Amidala's cruiser in TPM lacks the inventiveness of the SW franchise by looking like a SR-71 dipped in chrome. Better? The SR-71 is a work of art from any angle it's viewed at. It's uber-badness is well known to people having the most casual interest in aviation. Anyone who says otherwise is misinformed or a troll. Period.
