It would appear that the open-backed walker is used for transport. :)

It's nice to know the history of some of those planets. I was reading over Cato Neimoidia's back round and how it came into the movie, and I can't decide whether or not I would have preferred the Halo like ring around the planet, or the way it is in the movie.

I've been waiting for information on Mygeeto for ages, and it finally comes, and there's no entry about the damn unidentified tank on Mygeeto! Goddamit. Who cares about an AT-OT?!! Bah! Pfft! Hiss!

I'd like to know about those birds feeding off the clonetrooper bodies on Saleucami... No. Seriously.

Edit:

Some interesting quotes from the Clonetrooper EU section:
The unique clone trooper identification number is embedded in each clone's DNA. The clones themselves have no physical markings indicating their unique identities. A special scanner incorporated into the clone trooper helmet identifies the trooper and this info is displayed on a tiny LED viewscreen incorporated in the back of the helmet. The information displayed on the helmet can also be transmitted to a central location so that combat commanders can "track" a battle.
Following the rise of the Empire, the military cloning program expanded to include new clone hosts. By the time of the Empire consolidated its power by dissolving the Senate, the ranks of the Imperial stormtroopers would include cloned infantry from multiple sources as well as birth-born conscripts and recruits from various worlds.

Well, I guess that finally settles the stormtropper question. They're a mix of clones and recruits/conscripts. And check out that pic showing the various clonetroopers...very cool 8)

They´re in that shot of the dead troops in the Saleucami section. Far left.
and there's no entry about the damn unidentified tank on Mygeeto
I think those are the artillery transports/carriers mentioned in several Mygeeto related articles.

Best pic ever. My new wall-paper. Just the thing to beat the "but they wear white armour"/"there's no variety" idiots around the head with.

Commander Cody and the uber-cool Commander Bacara are missing as well, shockingly.

The Clonetroopers are the real stars of Episode III :)

That's the impression I got too. I have to say that I'm disappointed with the databank's handling of a potentially awesome vehicle. Artillery transport? They make it sound like that thing's just a mobile platform for a cannon that's useless in close combat. Why couldn't it be a MBT? And why couldn't they have written up a full databank entry for it? Who cares about those blue worm things?

Impression or not, it's not explicit, thankfully, and it's a completely stupid idea, as you said. They're obviously tanks used for direct combat.

Am i the only one, who thinks the AT-OT to be a wasted design?

Not that i complain about a walker with eight legs, but still ...

34 clone-troopers? What kind of military unit is this? It is vulnerable from above, AT-ATs are already in existance ...

Was that "snowtrooper" in the film?
Or is he just a concept/extrapolation?

the AT-OT is just a retarded design. Even worse than the AT-RT and as bad as the TIE crawler imo

Clones, clones, clooooones.
Damn, I hope there's a fuckload more games that involve Clone Troopers. RC was great, but I want more.

Btw, I find the idea of mixed units with both growth-accelerated clones and normal recruits a bit difficult to understand. How would this work? I can't imagine regular guys being put in units of clones that are manufactured the way PT-era clone troopers are made.

This doesn't directly pertain to Clone Troopers, but I thought I'd say this here..
Though Commerce Guild Presidente Shu Mai called Castell the planet of her birth, her home was Felucia, site of a sprawling compound outside the city of Kway Teow that served as a remote office and private retreat.
"Kway teow" is unmistakably the name of flat Chinese noodles, made from a flat sheet of batter that is cut into strips.
Edit: That's not really a surprise, I guess, since "siew mai" is a kind of dumpling..

No it isn't. The AT-RT makes little sense since it's basically a mechanized horse (that's the image I got of those clones riding them), and the TIE Crawler is competely retarded since it makes no sense to use the chassis for a tank, at all. The AT-OT however can be seen to resemble a WW2 open-top half-track or truck. It's almost certainly much cheaper than an AT-TE, and can hold more men.

cheaper than an AT-TE... why? It certainly looks more massive. And what's the supposed speed of that thing? Looked awfully slow for a transport

They're the ones who zap Ki-Adi-Mundi. Expand Commander Bacara's image to see them, just.

Commander Bacara has a tendency to draw all eyes on him in that shot. I didn't even notice the Snowtroopers flanking him whatsoever until I saw some stills of that shot.

Why? Because it's a blatant Lucasfilm 'catch' of that problem, and doesn't adress arguments of that nature that were made pre-RotS?

Well gee, that supply truck looks more massive than that hummer. IT must be more expensive!
Besides, how can you quantify its speed after seeing it walk for less than three seconds, in a forest?

I really dont see the problem with the AT-RT or the AT-OT.

Its evident that they arent used in hot combat situations. Instead they would be used behind friendly lines.

Exactly, which is what is said in its article.

Too bad some people can´t bother to read before bitching.

EDIT: Under the updated Clonetroopers entry, among the vehicles listed as being used by them is, once again, the Republic artillery transport. Seems the Mygeeto tank is stuck with that name and not even an entry of its own. :?

The AT-OT looks like it is designed to give a firing platform as it moves, the AT-RT
