Maybe....

The "Final Solution" is also known as "The Holocaust", it was the sytematic extermination of the Jews, and other targeted groups by design, in purpose built extermination camps such as Auschwitz and Sobibor.

Thank you. I have never heard it referred to as that.

Serves me right for not reading the thread through and seeing all the answers already posted. Tsk.

OP: I would call a halt to the exterminations, as mot folks have suggested already.

A complete and immediate surrender would probably result in assassination and some reactionary taking over, so that's not the way to go. The important thing is to minimize destruction and ensure the least bad political situation in Europe at the end of the War. So: focus the bulk of the defensive forces against the East, continue negotiating against the West. If someone is to occupy Europe at the end of the war it should be the latter.
