What do you think the respose will be from the Lib Dems and other left wing parties now? Will their position on Iraq now have to change in response to public outrage?
What does this attack have to do with Iraq ?

What kind of bomb can rip a bus in two!?
A couple of kilos of C4 is more than enough. Though as that is a controlled substance, SEMTEX would be the right material, practically a copy of C4. A briefcase full of the stuff would easily take out a whole tube train, letalone a double-decker or other road vehicle.

The reports are saying this was likely a sleeper cell, not some guys coming over for this event and just dropping off some parcels around the capital.

Hmn..local explosives here can do that, have done that.
To be honest, compared to stuff here, that bus hit was a firecracker.
Really? Jesus.

I imagined...i mean with all the metal, a bomb would have to be...i dont know i imagined like a small missile. To take out a whole bus like that, just tear it in two like a tin can.

Overestimating i guess.

Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. 18-til, 2-deckers aren't terribly sturdy. A medium suicide-bomb could pop the top off.

Oh God ... rescuers had to walk through the carriages and step over all the dead bodies, it has been confirmed. :(

How horrible must the SAR job be? They are very brave.

You can drive westerners out by killing people in a foreign country, but you kill people in a western country and you piss us off. Remember 9/11? Everyone and his dog was onside to jump on Afghanistan.

Some people may claim that is we hadn't have attacked Iraq then these attacks may not have happened.

As Vald says, its not alot of matirial, though it was on the upper deck, so atleast the bus didn't go up in flames. Stuff here is usually exploded upfront to hit the engine.

I have serious doubts that this would have happened if Blair hadn't went into Iraq against the opinions of both his own party and the majority of the population. The question is: how many people think the same?

This may be dumb, but does anyone have a screencap of Blair with all of the G8 leaders standing behind him? I want one.

Police officials..get your facts straight, witnesses say they were told to quickly leave stations, that there was a bomb, not that there was no warning.

I have an odd idea... I wonder if an agreement by the G8 is now more likely after this terrorist attack? Almost as if the G8 want to show a unified front against terrorism and thus will agree to unite against poverty?

If so, then at least some good will have come from this. If not ... then it has been an absolute disaster. :(
