Definitely the ants.

Once the soldier termites are down it's all over.

This reminds me of a documentary of when an army of ants invaded a huge termite nest and killed every single termite.

Ouch, it wasn't pretty.

That movie wasn't a good source. The biggest species of ants are bigger than the biggest spieces of termites with the biggest ant species being around 2 inches I believe (not sure).

Don't forget, some of the toughest ants, army ants, are able to kill horses. That's just badass.

I read something about Driver ant queens growing up to five inches long.

On another note, Driver ants were said to roam Africa, cleaning out entire VILLAGES.

Tethered horses only, if they can move around the ants can't swarm them. They also bring down cows and human babies. Having hundreds of thousands of ants strip your skin of one square millimeter at a time is generally fatal..

So the question becomes, what happens if the insidious Termites obtain a limited quantity of AGENT RAID and deploy it in defence of there mounds?

It effects everything, its basically a mild nerve gas, a couple very stupid people have been seriously injured by it.

However the Termites can retreat to the higher levels of there mounds while the ant are approaching near the ground, Raid is heavier then air. But on the other hand several types of ants build surface tunnels and could build sealed passageways to the mounds to protect there troops.

Ants, easily, so easily it's not funny. I have the ants fact files from my old SimAnts game(it wasn't about the game but accual ant information). Ants are one of the oldest living creatures in the world. They are the strongest in relation to their size. They live longer than other insects(workers can live an entire year to 4 to 5 years, and some queens can live to be over 20) At any given time there are atleast 1,000,000,000,000,000 ants on the earth. The larges colony found so far is on the Ishikari Coast of Hokkaido: 306,000,00 ants with 1,080,000 queens in 45,000 interconnected nest over an area of 2.7 square km. Some ants can live for 14 days or longer underwater. At the time of this book there were 8,800 different spiecies of ants. Some ants have stingers in their abdomen, others can shoot formic acid(used in insecticides) and other venoms from thier abdomen. We have repletes, which are desert ants that are used to store digested food to feed the colony in times of little food, and could be used to feed those on the front line. Army ants are almost always on the move, they camp at night and to release new queens and males to mate, in numbers in the millions, these would be the main offensive force. Some ants have camoflauge like coloring or hairs that hold dirt to hide them from enemies, can someone say sneak attack? Some play dead, making themselves invisable to animals with compound eyes(ants, termites,etc.) Some have spines to punish attackers. Propaganda Pheromones, slavemaking species can produce pheromones that fool other ants into thinking they are harmless, probly works on termites. Some ants can jump or bounce to distract or escape from enemies. Parasitic ants could be used to put a strain termite food sources and slavery ants could steal termite eggs in large numbers, creating weaken forces in a couple of months, and canon fodder so to speak.
