Would you like SD.net updated more often?

Post by Nova Andromeda »

--Since this board came online there has been a tragic decline in updates to the rest of SD.net. The creation site has not been updated since March and the Star Wars vs. Star Trek site has not been updated since Oct. 19.
-Personally, I would like to see the poll updated every other week and the other two sites updated every one to two months. I'd be willing to help by proof reading stuff, doing research, finding poll questions, etc.

[EDIT]Added no updates option (Duh!).[/EDIT]

I say let Mike do it when he wants. The problem is once there's only so much to add. Other than the various canon databases (and those are a long term project) there isn't much more to add until the new movies come out. I suppose work some of the Nemisis and Attack of the Clones material.

Aside from the poll, the question for it at least could be left board members, there's not much he needs to upodate.

In my opinion the best part of sd.net is the creationism vs. science site, in other words I'd like more updates for that part of sd.net

It's Mike's prerogative. The Creationism site appears mostly complete, anyway. The Vs. site appears to be getting updates fairly soon, anyway.

True, but as long as the science curriculum in many nations in needs a massive overhaul creationists will keep making up even more "creative" bullshit. Hense the need to find and destroy their brand new arguments.

Hell, they'll keep making moronic arguments even if we overhaul the science curriculum.

I'd like to see both web sites to get more updates--especially the Creation web site that hasn't been updated since March. If Wong feels it's pretty much complete he could get out articles he finds that are full of shit that is happening today and offer arguments to it.

I would like to see the Vs site expanded to other universes besides ST, but I doubt Mike has time for that.

We'll the site need a massive overhaul thanks to ICS, but that will happen when Wong wants it to happen. By the same card, ICS, he doesn’t really need to update, one can jut quote pages of it.

I would, of course, like to see the site updated more frequently, but I also recognize that that is simply not possible. Mike, like many other people, has many demands placed on his time. After a point, hobbies like this one are sacrificed so that more important issues can be dealt with. It would be nice if the site was updated more often, but we can't expect Mike to sacrifice his family for his website.

--Well I was thinking a robust logical fallacies (logic in general) page would be a good addition to the creation site. Most of the components are there, but they are scattered and there is not one spot where people are "schooled" in logic.
-I would also like to see more battles in the Vs. site plus regular updates of the Imperial Poll.
-However, I put the Darth Wong veto in the poll for a reason. Darth Wong may have neither the time, the desire, or want others to add to his site.

If Mike has the time, he should add more to the Creationism vs. Science site, and some more content to the SW vs. ST section. I'd like to see more essays, more on science and debating fallacies, the OT violence page completed, and something like a history of sci-fi debating.

I think he should institue a new poll, as this current one is pretty old.

And some updates to the site would be nice, but whenever Mike has time is fine by me.

What's the point? Star Wars has effectively won with the advent of ICS.

Considering that by ICS a clone wars era troop transport is worth the entire federation fleet at least I'd say in military terms Star Wars has it sewn up in just about every single possible category.

Yeah, there won't be no major offensive from the trekkies till nemesis comes out and they try to find something in that to support their delusion that the Federation could defeat the Empire.

Yeah, I suppose if we want the site updated more often we could be volunteering to help out with stuff, like the canon database.
