Yes, it's running OJP (Open Jedi Project). This mod does not mess with the gameplay, it mostly fixes bugs, removes exploits, and adds transparent features like better bots and better team balance (though the bots have been a bit buggy lately, the mod author is working on that I think).Dark wrote:Is your server running any mods? If so could you put a link to a DL page?
The mod is entirely server side though so you don't need to download it to join.
OJP Basic also adds some neat features if you do happen to want to run it client side, like first person lightsabers, a few extra hilts and skin options, that sort of thing (basically taken from single player) and the menus have all the missing options right there (like dynamic glow toggle, dismemberment options, etc). It has Single player stuff too.
http://strategy.jediknight.net/jka/server_status.shtml <--- check that link, has a server tracker, and a link to the OJP page. On the OJP page you can download the latest version of the mod if you want to use it client side (OJP Basic beta is what you want).
Despite what the page says, Asteroids Mod is not currently running. However Siege_Destroyer is in there (not in the rotation) so again I can switch to it if people want and you see me there.
Even though the JA Bonus pack maps aren't in the rotation, I can warp to them at any time if I'm there and people want (again, links posted on the server page). The Jawa MP Mod is also installed so you can see Jawa skins with the proper color in team games.
I work late nights (CST) but otherwise I should be around. Just holler for the server admin. If not, the mod author (RazorAce) may be there.
Just a quick reminder in case the above was confusing
NO, you do not need to download anything before joining.
The "mods" are server side and completely optional. They're COOL if you have 'em, but not required to enter.
Also, if you encounter bugs don't worry, let me know about them and they should be fixed shortly (in a few days if not in a few hours, depending on how serious).
Thanks guys, hope to see you there!

I tried it CTF is kind of lame 'cause nobody seems to know how as a team (I got something like 400 points just by running fast to flag and back).
EDIT:also who the fuck is Plo Koon?

Hey, tonight was kind of weird, at least half the people didn't know what they were doing (first timers I imagine). That Nemo guy was weird too... he apparently just wanted to stand around and only shoot people who came up to him, rather than help his team out. I felt bad about kicking him (he eventually came back and then left on his own shortly afterward), but only because he seemed so clueless.
Those are the breaks, sometimes you end up with n00bs! I'm used to it with Siege since it's such a unique gametype in the JK series, but CTF you'd think more people would know the basics. These guys didn't even realize that it's common courtesy to go into spectator if you're going to just up and leave the game for 10-15 minutes so your team doesn't have a useless body standing there.

Hope nobody minds if I post a few pics from the games we've been having... nothing too spectacular but some fun ones...

Coincidence! I honestly didn't take that many shots of late (I will try to remedy that...) Or post your own I guess.Lord Revan wrote:You had choose the pic were I was fourth and that Korriban Siege is damm diffucult as the Jedi.
Actually the Jedi on Korriban is quite under-rated. Her dual sabers make short work of doors and everybody loves twirl/saber barrier spam.
Dark Jedi have an advantage there with the Team energize power for that, but it's rarely utilized to its full potential. ;P
I need to up my graphics, a lot of the closeup shots don't look very good on low (but fast) settings!

Edit how do you take screenshot in multiplayer (or single player for that matter)

It seems I must do the same training with you as I did with StrahaKurgan wrote: Let's get it on!!! Saw DarthDavid and Cosmo in there, nice job guys.
The name is COMOSICUS.
Also the time difference makes it difficult to be around when you guys hang in there (I am 7-8 hours before most of you - GMT + 2 hours)
Not all Dacians died at Sarmizegetusa
Woo hoo! Fun. Praxis, how dare you push me into that hole! You better not have taken a picture and post it up here...
Sorry, "Cosmo" is just easier when I'm really tired and can barely read the screen anymore... It's like dyslexia-lite!
Anyway, whatever. Since you guys are all over, there is no "SD.net party" there is just one SD.netter saying hi to your's truly every so often.
But hey, it's cool. More the merrier... and if you two of you happen to meet up, well you can compare tatooes or whatever it is you do.
PS: I haven't really been keeping a log of things, just some random media. Here's a demo from an earlier CTF match.

ARGH! JKA didn't save the pictures!
*kicks computer*
I had some awesome stuff, maybe it's on here somewhere
Post, Revan, post!
I'm okay at attacking (not too good) but I took the high ground (sorry, just stole Obi-wan's line) and defended to death. To the point where the other team members decided I was all that was needed to defend the flag and I just stood their pulling people as they jumped to make them overshoot, and blasting people while they stood still like idiots on the elevator.
Seriously, after the HunterofNoobs guy left, Kurgan was the only good player on the enemy team (and the only guy who actually managed to kill me. Repeatedly. In fact, let's not mention how many times Kurgan killed me). Everyone on the server was noobs except the SD.net members and that guy who's name started with a K (not you Kurgan).
BTW, Kurgan, that was some AWESOME teamwork the first game. Remember when you had the flag and were running? People were chasing you and I turned on speed and sliced them, then ran behind with my gun- so while they ran behind you I just nailed them repeatedly in the rear. You scored the point (I think? Lost you at the end) while I and two other teammates literally took out everyone on the other team twice over...
Anyway, gonna see if I can find those pics of our duel...

"COMO" will do fine. No offence taken.Kurgan wrote: Sorry, "Cosmo" is just easier when I'm really tired and can barely read the screen anymore... It's like dyslexia-lite!
This is the first game I play online with people from abroad. I have played some Counterstrike a couple of years ago, on New Years Eve, when we were just a couple of guys in the college hostel, but it doesn't compare to this.
I will certainly come around again, although I suppose I will be able to join big parties only on weekends, because our timezones are pretty different and we do have jobs (at least I do for sure )

Yeah, I love team games. I love supporting my team come what may. It's not about personal glory (that's what FFA is for, or dueling)Praxis wrote:ARGH! JKA didn't save the pictures!

And the funny thing is, we kick ourselves when we do badly, but when you're decent, your worst is still better than your average chump, so no sweat. heh
I didn't see it, but I'll remember it! It does get kinda boring when things are really unbalanced like that, but oh well, what can you do? You just have fun with what you got. A few kills here, a few caps there, a few assists... it's cool.
Yeah Kronikz owns. TrackerOfNoobs put us all to shame. Man, I tell ya in four months these young upstarts really blew past me, but I like a challenge, it makes you better.
The funniest moment has to be this one:
I can only top that one by saying:GangstaJedi(?): GET READY TO BE PWN3D!
DarthDavid: get ready to learn english fucktard!
"All too cheesey."
