Avengers and Khopesh pretty much render other strike craft obsolete. Hell, the Khopesh is practically a Bloodhound-Micro.
But yeah, Vagyr Carriers are rather nasty. The SorceressII mounts a Crusad~ well, a whole Merkava under the hull, though I just use all classes as handy fire support. Still, I'm a Kushan at heart, and the Tulwar and LiirHra have been taken in as welcome excessi~ additions to the fleet.
What I really love about this not just the visuals, but the sounds. In combat, I sit atop an Arbiter, and just listen to it crack out all nine barrels before switching to a Bloodhound or Tulwar and just listening to them open up.
Edit: The Prince, I think, has been changed more to a Lineship, same as the Arbiters though from the blurb, I expected it to actaully get into combat rather than wallow about with the Arbiters.

According to wikipedia, "the Mohorovičić discontinuity is the boundary between the Earth's crust and the mantle."
According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

I gota say the engineering frigate is sorta useless. I guess the repair aura is nice, but it's hard to get them into range of other ships, to say nothing of when combat is going on (where you really need it).
Anyone have experience enough to know if the railgun frigate is worth it, over the ion cannon frigate?

I've done it but it is indeed a PITA. Formation flying can help out but isn't always effective. It does have quite a few guns that make it a useful picket ship, though.InnocentBystander wrote:I gota say the engineering frigate is sorta useless. Against big, slow targets it is. Against frigates it is not so useful.Anyone have experience enough to know if the railgun frigate is worth it, over the ion cannon frigate?

I used to be able to make it though the single player campaign with minimal losses. Now, after playing this, I realized how lucky I was...
that being said... I want a ship like the Deacon-class destroyer in Cataclysm. Fast, tons of forward firepower, and well-armored in the front. Plus missiles to take out those pesky fighters

I lost the frigate you get in mission 2
My system, which used to stream through even the most complex battle slows down horribly in mission 1. Nevermind the horrible accuracy of the fighters(reminds me of FS2 dogfights).
Also, differances between the CV you get in M2 and the one you get in M3?
Its very confusing for a newbie.

Nah, it CTDed AFTER we finshed playing.InnocentBystander wrote:It could simply have been my wireless connection crapping out. Once I moved closer to the WAP it stopped, though we also were playing as the Sobani. *shrug*
Though I did have some laggy parts, when that Titan came out and everyone switched firing priorities(what a hail of fire).

Sort of OT, but is it possible to install PDS with the HW2 demo? I'll see what happens...at worst it won't run or will screw up the demo, right?
