Hey gang, this is my first crack at making movies with the HL2 engine. I originally thought this would be a quick "two-weeks" maximum project ("hey, the phoneme editor practically does all the work for you!"), but turned into a 2 month learning experience. I probably would have hesistated had I known what I was in for, but thought this would be a good test project (and didn't you always want to see the G-Man get grilled?).

I see this primarily as a portfolio piece (SEATTLE AREA VIDEOGAME DEVS, I NEED A JOB), but hopefully you'll get some entertainment value out of it (or at least rent the movie). I feel that this is about 75% of what I wanted to accomplish (I may write up a post-mortem after I get back from vacation). The animations are spotty in some areas and I need to make some of the expressions more fluid, but overall I think it's a pretty decent attempt (I need to work a little more on Angry Tom).
Quality work, shows off what the HL2 engie can do with charaters.

Not bad, not bad. The animation was a bit stiff, though. Specifically, the characters cheeks never actually seemed to move. Their mouths never opened particularly wide, even when they were shouting.

Not bad, though. Needs some revision, but given it's the guy's first crack at the engine, I can't bring myself to critique it too harshly ;)

That was pretty cool, but why use Gollum's Song with the ending credits?
