Best Bond

Post by Stormbringer »

So who made the best Bond?

I've got to say Connery. He had style, charm, and a great one liner handy. Best Bond in my opinion.

Brosnan comes in a close second even if his movies haven't been the greatest.

I seriously can't stand James Bond, so I really can't vote very well, so from what I've seen, it's a tie between Brosnan and Connery.

I haven't seen much of the others. But I like Brosnan's bond.

It's a tie for me, I like Moore and Bronson the best with good old Sean at third. Dalton is last.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. The best Bond of them all, eh?

Post by Patrick Degan »

Connery. Sean Connery.

BTW, for completeness, George Lazenby should also have been included in the poll, even if his one and only outing as 007 was On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Connery, Moore, & Bronson are my favorites. I just go Connery because of Goldfinger.

Sean Connery is the best.

Connery had the sex appeal and ladiesman style
Moore had the class
Dalton was only good with the action
Brosnan manages to combine the three attributes of the previous Bonds into a very good character.

Brosnan has become my favorite Bond with Moore being #2.

HERETIC! That's Brosnan! Bronson is an uncouth thug compared to Bond!

I voted for Brosnan. Like I said in the other thread I've really never watched the other Bonds. I've seen Dalton and he just strikes me as a panzy ass. Connary is a very close second though. Brosnan just seems like Bond. Much in the way that I though Val Kilmer was the better of the Batmans. (don't ask were that comes from)

I'd go with Connery, since his movies were some of the best Bond films, and he did the best depction of what Ian Fleming's characer was supposed to be.

In second is Brosnan. He's a great actor, and fits into the Bond role.

Moore also had great movies, but he was too old to play the Bond character. He brang a more humorous air to the Bond franchise.

I haven't seen OHMSS yet.

Dalton was too stiff of a Bond, and didn't fit into the role well.

You've got a thing for the very-good-but-still-second-besters of long running franchises?

Connery is probably the best. I think Moore and Brosnan are both okay.

Yeah, actually I do. But he's not really one of the classic Bonds. In fact it was a different studio if i remember right.

And who could forget Woody Allen as Jimmy Bond?

A friend thinks that Dalton was the closest to the novels.

Me? I vote for the bodacious babes...
