Does the unreal number of posts held by spanky count as a "problem"? Is their a reason for this?

Yes, the search function completely open on the main board now IIRC.

This might be local to my browser(Opera) on my connection, but I'm getting cut off pages, half way through a post or frame, I stop seeing the proper view and start seeing the source code, as if I've gotten half a web page. Is this my PC or is the server cutting me off?

The board's a little on the slow side at the moment. Nothing major but it's definitely noticeable. Just the vagaries of the web or are we having problems again?
And I still notice that sometimes, for forums to be marked as read when I read all threads there still requires me to manually 'mark all threads read'. Anybody got a clue, or do I just live with it?

Sorry about that. My brother was using the server to surf the Internet and somehow locked it up, and I was on the road so he didn't know what to do, and just left it.

BTW, sorry about the downtime this morning. I was doing a BIOS update.

I can't search for my own posts. The search doesn't work and neither does the "find all posts by J" link on my profile page. It works when I search for other peoples' posts but not for my own. The "view your own posts" link on the main page is the only one that works but it doesn't help much.

That's because your name is less than three letters long, so MySQL can't do a proper search.

On this site, and only on this site, I seem to be having trouble loading images. Certain ones load right away (the profile buttons at the bottom of peoples' posts, New Topic and Reply buttons, and some others), but most images, including hotlinked ones with off-site hosting, simply don't load, including all the standard smilies, most avatars, most sig images, etc.

So I got into bbs.stardestroyer.net a few minutes ago, and this security pop-up appeared, asking for my name, password, and domain. It was trying to log me into 127.0.0.1

Every time I clicked cancel, one of the icons at the top right of the page (profile, register, faq, bb home, etc) appeared as a red x, the picture for "this picture cannot be located".

after clicking cancel, the popup re-appeared. After clicking cancel about 10 times, the popup went away.

What's going on? Did anyone else have this problem?

If a hotlinked image with off-site hosting doesn't load, it has nothing to do with our server.

It looks like you ran into the Hotlink protection code. I had to install that because of bandwidth-stealing fucktards. Are you trying to access the forum through some kind of proxy which changes your referer?
