In that case, what would be the Fundie basis for calling cloning "evil" when God Himself has been shown to do it?

On the same kind of genetic note, has anyone ever used the fact that there are more than 92 distinct chromosomes in the human race as evidence to show that we aren't all decended from the same two people?

Yes, much as Adam's DNA should have mud remnants. Mud men and riblet women created by magic don't really have to conform to many preconceptions.

Even though we were made in God's image, acting like God is still out of bounds. Doing it for fallen man reasons rather than holy ones, like making a friend for someone, is naughty.
