Just started playing last week anyway.

Well, at least now we're getting a flightpath at Taurajo. Can't remember if it was in this patch or gonna be in a future patch. Makes the Barrens suck so much less.

But yeah, the world is fucking huge. And there are several zones that aren't even open yet, not to mention an entire continent that's not even on the map yet. I'm not clear on how people get bored with travelling when questing, I'm at level 50 and I still love looking at the artwork. Seems I notice something new every day.

You can never get sick of it. The night sky in the mountains really make me proud.

Oh, and what continent is this? It isn't, you know, the one up north, by any chance?

Yeah, Northrend, I'm pretty sure it's spelled. Scourge capital of the world, probably makes Stratholme look like Duskwood. I'm going to be interested in seeing what they'll ever do with that whole region, which I've usually assumed it will be devoted to Hero classes.

Zones that aren't open yet:

- Quel'Thalas (land of the High Elves bordering the Eastern Plaguelands, wrecked by Arthas and the Scourge in Warcraft III)

- Gilneas

- Kul'Tiras

- Tol Barad?

- Zul'Dare?

- Mount Hyjal (site of the World Tree)

Personally I'd like them to open up Quel'Thalas, if only I could wander throughout the ruined Elven city of Silvermoon and dance on the ex-Sunwell.

And if they do add Northrend, I can imagine the place would be hell on Azeroth.

I've got a level 42 Night Elf Warrior on Feathermoon, drop me a message sometime! Name is "Mentheus". I'm in a good solid guild too. Bought my steed outright for me when I clocked 40 and have been making sure I never lack for blues. They need another MT :)

Hrm- I think both would be mega-instances :)

Well yeah, the mere present of Arthas, Lvl 80 (Elite) Lich King, would ensure that.

Don't forget Ahn'Qiraj (southern Silithus, zerg city!), Outland (former orc Homeworld and Illidan's kingdom beyond the dark portal, it's been confirmed that at least part of outland already exists within the game, just unaccessable) and the Emerald Dream (although that's probably just an instance rather than a zone).

Mannoroth POWER!

As for unfinshed zones, add Zul'Gurub, the Trill city in Stranglethorn Vale, Uldum, the bug brother to Uldaman in Tanaris, and the Caverns of Time, reputed to be the meeting-point for all Dragonflights and the home of the Bronze Dragonflight in Tanaris. There's also an unfinished battleground in Azshara, and something that looks like an Emerald Dream portal hidden in the center of the Duskwood. I'm also looking foreward to Blizzard finishing the Stormwind King segment.

Yes, I'm something of an explorer :)

Is Kul Tiras or any of the island nations off the coast of the wetlands even on the map? I don't mean the WoW map, they're obviously not, I mean physically having some land mass in the game. And what's to the east and west of the Burning Steppes, I wonder. I figure Undermine (the Goblins' adopted island homeland, wonder what was there before) will come out along with Northrend, probably in an expansion. Dunno if there will ever be anything along the east coast of the wetlands and Loch Modan, there needn't necessarily ever be anything but mountains there. Looking at the map, there's two, maybe three zones north of the plaguelands. I figure the little one's just more plaguelands, and we know the rest is Quel'Thalas, though we don't know if they'll devide that up at all, or if the Scourge has renamed it.

Other places I'm looking forward to: Grim Batol (instance?), Ahn'Quiraj, Outland (are we sure that's not accessable yet? I would have sworn that it is, we just have to find out how to open the portal), the Emerald Dream (goddamn it looks way too easy to get to a portal as it is. wonder if they'll change that), and whatever is behind locked doors in Ironforge and the Gnomish air strip, which is also unfinished.

Anyone know where Mannoroth was confronted and killed? I should think his bones are around somewhere.

Yes, I'm something of an explorer :)
Every region I enter I try as much as reasonably practicable to explore as I'm questing. However, I've held it as a goal that when I get my epic mount and put some mithril spurs on a secondary pair of boots (probably my Sapphiron Scale Boots) I'm going to put my carrot-on-a-stick trinkey on and explore every available inch of Azeroth. Especially the low-level Horde lands.

For now, the place I want to visit most is of course Quel'Thalas.

Jokes aside as to Arthas' level, I do wonder what level he would be. I decided way back when it would be very cool if they had a big in-game event where Arthas sends the Scourge against the Alliance and Horde, prompting a temporary alliance between them- and mixed parties :)

Well, given that the expansion pack is rumored to be named 'Burning Crusade,' I fully expect more direct intervention from the Legion. Could be via the Scourge in Northrend, could be from the Silithids, could be directly, by way of portal invasion, could be via the Black Dragonflight...or, if Blizzard really wants to fuck Azeroth up, all of the above. :twisted:

As a hunter, of course, I hope we start to see Bronze dragons soon. Bronze dragons mean Bronze dragonscale, which means Bronze dragonscale leatherworking recepies. As Shamans have all but one of the recepies to themselves, that's quite likely a Hunter-based armor, and that makes Dureck a happy, happy dwarf.

Especially as Black Dragonscale armor looks incredibly badass.

Yes I am an Altiholic
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;
