Come on Lucusarts, you know we would pay hard cash for a massive graphics update on TIE Fighter.

What's the planetary unit set up like? The infantry is reminding my heavily of Dawn of War, which would fucking rock as I could buy ten units of infantry, only increase the unit cap by ten and then march off with a hundred little soldiers to wreak havoc.

Reminded me more of SW:Force Commander in space.Son of the Suns wrote:Is it just me or does the space combat interface look alot like the Star Trek: Armada 2 one on steroids?
And I don't think you build bases and all that like in ST:A I & II... though I could be wrong.
Either way, yeah, it does remind me of Armada II, but mainly because there's a SW mod where you can get the Empire and the Rebellion when you play -- but the graphics are far better for Empire at War.

I'm sorry, but... how the fuck am I going to control all of those units at once? Unless they have the most amazing AI ever constructed, they're going to flop around like retards and this game will have to have equally retarded enemies to not be impossible.

I'm buying it no matter what. I only hope it's good.

They seem to be putting a lot of time into this game; I've been hearing buzz about it for awhile. It should work out pretty good, and be a little more than eye-candy. SW games that flop seem to do so not because of pressure from Lucasarts to crank out a title, but the developer's own unwillingness to hold back from the SW trough and shove a game through wth minimal ammenities and buggy bells.
