Daemon Tools Help

Post by Jadeite »

Alright, I've figured out how to mount an ISO image like you need, then run it. The problem I've run into is actually installing the program, because the autorun.inf file just opens a blank notepad. Apparently windows had lost the route to notepad, and when I first tried clicking autorun.inf, Ad-Aware came up! I was informed that my system couldn't find notepad, and it'd selected Ad-Aware as an alternative. That's when I realized that notepad had been lost, and a quick search later, found that while the shortcuts all pointed to C:\windows\system32, it was in C:\windows instead. I put it into the folder that the shortcut paths directed to, but autorun.inf still won't run, it just comes up blank, and that's my current problem.

So what do I do now?

Is there anything besides autorun.inf in that folder/drive where the autorun.inf is?
Things like setup.exe or install.exe? If there is you could manually run them and see if they are the installers.

There is, but when I click them, a black window pops up, looks like a command prompt type thing, and then disappears a second later. Nothing really happens.
