Two of Hanson's latest essays; once more eloquently outlining our situation and how it must surely progress.

We don't want to fight,
But by Jingo if we do,
We've got the ships,
We've got the men,
We've got the tanks,
We've got the Fighters,
And got the money too.
We've fought the Iraqis before,
And while we're American's true,
The Iranians shall not have Baghdad!

The war is going to happen, no matter what amount of crying from
liberals on the unjustness of it.....the machinery has started rolling
and creaking and grinding, and the only way to stop it is with a sea
of blood....

Iran will take too long, and not win decisively if we go by their current track record.

They don't have a current track record at all do they? 'Fundamentalist' Iran has never fought a war with its neighbours until Iraq attacked first.

Dangit, I though they were going ot send the Hanson brothers to Iraq, and we wouldn't have to hear from them again!

The problem with Hussein is that we can't trust him. If we want his army disarmed, we'd literally have to search every nook and cranny of the country, in case he's still hiding something.

Eight years and two point two million bodies later the lines in the First Gulf War never shifted more then 30 miles for any length of time. Iraq is weaker now but Iran would still need to fight a grinding war of attrition, which would take months at the very least. Having the USAF and USN fly in support might help some, but simple coordination problems would greatly limit it.

Dammit, the first thing I thought was that the Hanson brothers were organizing antiwar protests and that we were all supposed to laugh at them.

I've never heard of the Hanson brothers before these comments (this time and the first), and I'm actually quite pleased by that.

Sure, they wrote their own music, but they were 100 times more annoying than everything else on the radio at that time, and they were overated. I really didn't see what was so big about another girl band.
