I really should, however according to my iTunes playlist it's by the Beastie Boys.

But then again, it says that I Get Around is by Hans Zimmer.

'Tis indeed by The Police, the lead off track and first single from their second album Regatta De Blanc (1979).

It's also one of my favourite guitar riffs ever, which Def Leppard borrowed and slowed down quite a bit for their song Gods of War (on the 1987 album Hysteria).

Yes, it's by The Police. However, I prefer Machine Head's cover of it on The Burning Red album.

Yes. I know. I should blame my friend. He had it like that (although he actually knew it wasn't the case). However, he did give me it on a cd that looks like a vinyl record.
