I'm not so sure. (no spoilers, pure supposition) I'd put money on Ellen being a cylon. Her story for bein in the fleet with amnesia just was too convient and she's ALWAYS pushing Tigh to do more even when its destructive as hell. Rather like Six is with Baltar. She's a great mole in a great place for ruining one of the real effectives of the fleet.Knife wrote:Plot device so when Ellen left, Rosilin could say "Oh shit, that was Ellen Tigh, I'm so fucked."Agent Fisher wrote:Did anyone else notice that the Pres started hearing a ringing sound when Ellen visited her?

Tigh is surprisingly good under combat pressure. He's saved Adama's ass a couple of times.

He's not surprisingly good, he's just plain good. It's when he's drinking or when his wife's involved that he goes to shit. Combat has a way of making you focus on "not dying" that is helpful.Alyeska wrote:Tigh is surprisingly good under combat pressure. He's saved Adama's ass a couple of times.
The Excellent Prismatic Spray. For when you absolutely, positively must kill a motherfucker. Accept no substitutions. Contact a magician of the later Aeons for details. Some conditions may apply.
Things were also running a lot tighter over the last two episodes. Adama was shot, then suddenly a basestar is on top of them, then they needed to find the fleet, and then Cylons were aboard ship.Mario1470 wrote:Something I really noticed was the stark difference in Colonel Tigh between this episode and the previous one, "Valley of Darkness." If Tigh had been swimming in alcohol like he was in this episode, the Galactica might not have survived the encounter with the Cylons.
A lot of crap, happening non-stop with no time to find a nip. It also seems Tigh thrives somewhat in high-stress combat situations. In "33" he states that tired as he was, the whole situation had him feeling more alive than he had in years, and Adama noted he was staying away from the booze.
Now, things have slown down comparativly aboard Galactica. Tigh seems averse to the details of running a warship. He's a good combat officer, but the everyday strain of command clearly gets to him. And politically he's a disaster.

Good god, I hope not. I like the tension that they have because 'any one could be a Cylon'. How ever, the series will, imo, take a serious nose dive if everyone starts becoming a Cylon.xammer99 wrote:I'm not so sure. (no spoilers, pure supposition) I'd put money on Ellen being a cylon. The threat of it makes good inter character tension, it would ruin it for it to be true. It would also be an aweful plot device, whether it be Roslin, Ellen Tigh, or Lt. Geta.

I have a feeling Boomer is going to admit to being tested by Baltar. When this comes to light Baltar is going to have some explaining to do. Everyone would have to be retested.

Ellen seems to make a good cover for a Cylon agent, because everybody knows she was always a manipulative bitch! She's a strong suspect but that's all at this point.Knife wrote:Good god, I hope not. However, about the Cylons, the show states that there are twelve 'models', now so far we've seen;Boomer, Six, the 'everday' guy, and the guy who wears a suit.
That's 4, so does the '12 model' think mean just the human replicas or all the cylons put together? If it is the latter then we would include; Centurions and I guess the Raiders (bringing it up to 6), but that still leaves another '6' unseen (possibly 5 if we say a Basestar its self is a model).
If, however, it is just the former (i.e. human replicas only), then we are still missing 8 models.

I found the re-use of music from Hand of God a little distracting - I think they could have worked it in a little better than they did.
Super k-rad Cally moments. For a moment I was afraid RDM was going to really off her.
Pleasantly surprised by the Kobol team already getting rescued; I was afraid Kobol was going to become the new Caprica. Also great moments during the final firefight on Kobol.
I desperately wanted Baltar to respond to Six's "You're a man now because you killed Crashdown" speech with "What would I be if I hadn't killed him?", and I also wanted him to call her on that non-answer she gave to "So I should teach the child murder?". Six is again raising far more questions than are being answered and this irritates me.

In the pilot, Six was referring to infiltrator models.Crown wrote:If, however, it is just the former (i.e. human replicas only), then we are still missing 8 models.
Ellen Tigh is not a Cylon until we see Cylons copy memories from human minds and have infiltrators who are 40 years old.

Personally I hope Ellen Tigh gets her come-uppance soon, its clear she wants to get close to Tom Zerick cause she has no faith in Laura. I just hope Saul wises up and leaves her.
I wonder if they'll do some kind of Zach Allen/Night Watch storyline when Ellen starts trying to get Saul to collaborate with Tom Zerick. Or I could just be wrong.
Tigh is, for me, the most interesting character on the show.

Well I think people can stop talking about the Chief being a super soldier. He performs under combat stress, but he obviously isn't a Marine.

fragged means killed by your own men.. Baltar fragged CrashdownCrown wrote:Then why the title 'fragged'? Shouldn't it have been 'frakked' (or however you spell it)?Mario1470 wrote:It's the former, ending with a K. If you are getting it from just hearing it (like me), then it shows that I'm not crazy or deaf, but maybe in the script it's actually spelt 'frag'.
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

RDM actually alluded to this possibility in one of his blogs...Alyeska wrote:I have a feeling Boomer is going to admit to being tested by Baltar. When this comes to light Baltar is going to have some explaining to do. Everyone would have to be retested.
Something else that is on my mind...Ronald Moore wrote: "Is Baltar screwed now that it's somewhat obvious that his Cylon test either, one, did not work on Sharon or, two, he withheld the info that she was a Cylon?"
Baltar will have to deal with this the moment he returns to Galactica -- which won't happen right away.
Ellen Tigh made an alliance with Tom Zarek in Season 1.
Tom Zarek was just unseated from his position of power by Colonel Tigh.
Where does this leave them?

How many people will use Tigh's "Your day's gonna come, laughing boy!" at work this week?

Actually, I believe season two will be twenty episodes shown in two ten-episode chunks. The second ten episodes will start in January, much like the first season.Crown wrote:And second; Akaramu Shinja if season two is the same episode length as season one (13 eps) then it shouldn't be too long before the above traspires.
For more information, visit the BattleStar Wiki. Be warned, there's the possibility for spoilers. It does have great synopses of the episodes and a list of future episodes with a TVGuide-type blurb describing them.

When did Tigh serve in the Cylon War? Don't think he did.DocHorror wrote:That Wiki is strange, according to its timeline Tigh enlisted and served in the Cylon Wars when he was ten.

I don't think it was indicated in the series he was. And he certainly wasn't in the nBSG game for PS2 and Xbox. The history clips we did pick up seem to show that Adama left after the war, was on some kind of transport or similar where he met Tigh, then as we saw in the clips, he decided to get "back into" the navy. Eventually getting command and pulling Tigh in later. It probably was some kind of military transport or supply ship.el blanco wrote:Didn't he and Adama serve in the same squadron during the previous Cylon War?
And I really think Baltar is a Cylon. It would make sense how 6 is in his head like that.

Nah, though I may be wrong, but what I got out of that episode was that Adama was an up and commer but got stuck on a 'transport' or 'lesser' ship that Tigh happened to be on. Even then, Tigh was a drunk and was fucking up his career because of it.Akaramu Shinja wrote:I don't think it was indicated in the series he was. Adama moved on and drug Tigh kicking and screaming *as it were* and straightened his ass up enough and gave him a second chance. Whether or not this was after the Cylon wars? I don't know. When Adama got Tigh back into the service, Tigh was a captain and Adama was a major. At what point Adama made the leap from pilot to command duty, is up in the air.
