Japanese Female Android (RAR!)

This would be the cheap and easy alternative to the foyer secretary or information-booth worker. A "'human' voce mail" system for walk-ins to big corporations. It could probably also do certain types of TV broadcasts, news or commercials, or be used as a security camera in a discreet manner when real cameras would be seen as intrusive, or as a tip-off.

There are commercial applications, but they are limited and specific niche-markets. Until they become human-functional, they won't get widespread market.

Really, IMHO it doesn't represent anything more then the next generation of anamatronic terror-inducers from the "It's a Small World".

They simply need to combine this android with a Realdoll (warning nude immoral perverted content so be 18 or have a credit card) and then make some robot wives that are expensive and possibly effective.

That seems like a Marketing issue ... I think the manufacturers of home-use robots believe that a large part of their target audience will be much more likely to buy a robot that doesn't seem too alien, so the human appearance matters to them .... that and the sex, of course.

When I first saw the earlier picture, I really thought the guy was the robot and she was demonstrating...

To me these robots look too real and I'm with Frank Hipper in that I wouldn't want one of those wandering around my home. It would just be too spooky, what if these robots malfunctioned and turned on us all? That would suck wouldn't it. Why are they making these things that could potentially kill us if they became popular enough and could communicate with one another... maybe I'm thinking about the horror movies too much

Still, I'd be willing to bet that these things take over in the future if they become popular enough.

Now this looks more real. Now I see what you mean FSTargetDrone. Still it would be too freaky for me.. by the way the men robots on that site suck compaired to some of the female ones... example So fake looking it's sad, do we women not deserve a good looking male robot?

I know it's because we women wouldn't go out and buy one, still it's not fair

Why would they turn on us if they malfunctioned? Wouldn't it be infinitely more likely that if they got screwed up they just...y'know, wouldn't work?

To be precise, these things I mentioned are not robots, just really sophisticated-looking and expensive sex dolls.

I was just wondering what would happen if they and the robot cited at the start of the thread were combined in some way.
