Only one modifier in this thread: Slave 1 may not be used as a direct assault vehicle (i.e. its onboard armaments such as its cannon and torpedo launchers are out of bounds). However, Jango may use it as a transport for himself and any weapons he will carry with him.

He's also got better vision, when you consider his helmet's built-in tracking systems. The fact that he could quietly follow the entire Coruscant Obi-Wan/Anakin chase of Zam Wessel without falling behind or getting spotted (until he chose to reveal himself) speaks volumes about his tracking abilities.

That's what I always thought too, but I don't see how else he could have followed them. Could he have flown Slave-1 after them and then quickly flew out when they went into the bar? Or does his jet-pack have a lot more range than we thought? One would think that a heavily armed patrol craft might be a bit conspicuous in normal traffic.

That's what I always thought too, but I don't see how else he could have followed them. Could he have flown Slave-1 after them and then quickly flew out when they went into the bar? Or does his jet-pack have a lot more range than we thought? One would think that a heavily armed patrol craft might be a bit conspicuous in normal traffic.

Don't think he used Slave 1. Maybe he's got a mini speeder bike of some kind. Yes, that's the ticket. I think the jet pack's actually a rocket pack because it has no air intake, so the oxidizer must be in homogenous form with the fuel.

If he does somehow manage to survive the first encounter however, Punisher would have a far greater chance then most in succeeding in successive encounters and delving into his rather impressive arsenal of weapons and equipment to find a way to shoot down the bounty hunter. He's no Batman when it comes to preptime, but he has some decent weaponry including a really cool 20mm cannon or grenade launchers (which has multiple shots per load apparently) he somehow manages to fire (single shot) from a battle harness.

Typically I think that Punisher is usually armed (the Marvel bio usually gets it wrong) with a Vietnam war era M-16 with attached M203 grenade launcher (far more reliable though), a 9mm Micro-Uzi or two, a Colt .45 handgun rechambered for 9mm clips, one semiautomatic or pump action shotgun, and sometimes a silenced Sterling SMG. Oh and he carries a sap and a titanium drip forged combat knife. Plus the assorted hand grenades and other equipment. Course most of it isn't too dangerous to Jango Fett.

Give him prep and the guy has anti-material sniper rifles, a multi-barrelled grenade launcher, the 20mm cannon thing, and an AT-4 AT weapon at most times.

Although I too give it too Jango Fett, don't underestimate the Punisher's number of toys, he has a lot, for all occasions, underwater ops, opservation and well every eventuality really he can concieve off, actually on his home turf he may take it... his safe houses are death traps, even his 'Pet' Dog is deadly. Neither Wessel or Anakin were making themselves particularly easy to follow, and the cluttered skies and truly 3-dimensional chase landscape of Coruscant's cityscape would have made it a nightmarish pursuit to follow. Yet he did so without even making his presence known.

I think that if Jango Fett was standing there in front of the Punisher, he'd be able to whip out something that would kill him. However, Fett has the advantage of flight, better body armour, helmet optics, and greater available firepower. He would have to stupidly squander all of these advantages in order to lose. And that's on Earth. In scenario 2 (on Coruscant), the Punisher would be simply overwhelmed. I don't care how grizzled and tough you are, you'll be taken aback by its vertical environment.

Ballistic weapons against a man in a jet pack who also uses sniper weaponry, flamethrowers and energy weapons? Don't forget the Vietnam era M16 was notorious for jamming. You think 9mm can get through his amor? Surely you jest. This is meant to stop blaster bolts which have the concussive effect of a small grenade. And a drip forged combat knife is NOTHING if you're too bus being dead to use it.

And Punisher can hit a flying man with a sniper rifle? What is this, anime? And remember Jango can move fast enough to give a Jedi a run for his money. 20mm cannon? How will he MOVE the damn thing?

If he somehow manages to survive the first encounter... Right. Jango isn't above killing his own men to keep a secret so why should he let Punisher go?

Yes, but the tops of skyscrapers are typically a very long way from the ground. You wouldn't notice a man-sized object from that far away unless you're already looking for him, and even then, you'd probably be unsure of precisely what you saw. If he's using his jet-pack to move around the rooftops until he can get a clear shot at his target, I don't think he'll be all that conspicuous.

Futhermore he's extensively modified his M-16 (hence it's far more reliable...... like I said) Hell I even SAID that most of it isn't too dangerous to Jango. Your the one "surely jests" by making up that I somehow said or even implied anything other then that. Sorry for informing you of the Punisher typical arsenal of weaponry.

The guys practically remembered the sewers and backallies of New York which will be to Jango's disadvantage plus has many small outposts all thoughout the city.

What I will speak on (your misinterpretations of my generous offering of information not counting) is that from what I've seen of Jango in the Open Seasons graphic novel and the movie is that Frank Castle seems to be a far superior when it comes to hand to hand combat, a home territory advantage (Frank is capable of evading Jango if he survives their first encounter which is doubtful that he would) and Frank has a very diverse collection of weapons and equipment. So (as typical) the quicker that Jango can take out Punisher, the better. Because with a foe like him, far moreso then with Jango's usual game, Punisher wil lget more dangerous.

Now I'm honestly not sure how he was carrying around a 20mm cannon, but he was and incinerating Asgardian trolls with explicitly stated 20 millimeter High Explosive rounds. Now again, I remind you, please do no misinterpret this as I automatically believe that Castle will pick off Slave 1 with said weaponry at three kilometers out.

Diversity in equipment is irrelevant if all of them are ineffective. And why would Jango ever get into hand-to-hand? If he was in CC range whip out twin blasters or flamethrowers. The point is irrelevant.

And the objective isn't evasion - it's extermination. If all Frank can do is run then he's halfway to losing already.

And while I would not fuck around with 20mm rounds, weapons which fire such ammunition are invariably very heavy and are matched indestructive power by your basic E-11.
