Southpaws
I am left-handed but use the mouse with my right hand but So many other left handers go wacko without left handed scissors (right handed ones are a pain in the ass to use but still). What's the Deal?

I've often met accountants who use the mouse with their left hands (despite being right-handed) so that they can use their right hands for the number pad.

I'm a southpaw who can use the mouse in either hand, but usually I just have it in the right hand so I can type like Destructinator there.
I used to think that it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe. ~Marcus Cole, Babylon 5

I use the mouse with my right hand; the other way is just backwards from the proper setup PCs have always used. I prefer to use my dominant hand on the keyboard, anyway, but I can image why some would have trouble learning to do fine motor control of a mouse with their non-dominant.
I defnitely stick with my left for joysticks, though, and have to look for ambidextrous controls myself (I definitely can't ask the store employees to locate ambidextrous/left-handed joysticks; you wouldn't believe the looks I've gotten when I state that some joysticks [like this one] are clearly right-handed and *cannot* be used with either hand).

I perfer trackballs and know how to switch the mouse controls from left to right anyways.... depends on what I want to do and where the other keys are in relation to the mouse. "oh yes I'm one of those "Evenhanded" motherfuckers you hear about" I even had a guest comment about it Monday night. (I give them their change, ring up their order, hand them their glass of soda, and pour their beer with my left hand. and they ask if I'm a southpaw.
nah, I go both ways.
nah, I go both ways.

Like Uts I am left-handed and use a mouse with my right hand, because that's how I was taught in early grade school (grade 1-4) with the Mac Classics they had (actually I wasn't so much taught as that was the side of the desk the mouse was on; since I had never used a mouse before it wasn't a problem using my right hand instead of my left).

No problems right-handing a mouse or using right-handed scissors here; if that's how it was shown to be done, that's how its done, for the most part.
I am a southpaw, but there may be degrees of it, or something, that allows some to adapt the right hand to simple tasks like mousing, or even writing, while a few others are completely unable to learn with their opposite hand even at an early age. Some probaby have a need for a chip on the shoulder too, hence the Southpaw Liberation Army attitude.
