That's my understanding, yes. Think about it: we talk about sociopaths not having enough hugs as children. Sounds stupid and touchy feely at first, but examine it from the feedback idea: If you have no indications of how to care and respect another person when your personality forms.
If I understand you correctly, AS is neural in nature, and causes eccentric behavior. However, as people form social groups, AS individuals are shunned; this causes problems in the social feedback area, and compounds and distorts the eccentric behavior.
AS aren't universally shunned, but the chances are increased because, well, they're different. It's not an absolute, but their chances are hurt overall.
I agree; at least an Asberger's person will understand the conflict, if what I understand is correct, and can be brought to sympathize or empathize with the victims, right?
Right. They can also still learn Right vs. Wrong very well, and because of their intelligence, may be able to cling to it better.
But to learn that, they require social interaction, right? Or, because of the intelligence, will an AS person be better suited to grasp the concepts of right and wrong at an intangible, philosophical level, rather than learning through experience?
Right vs. Wrong generally comes from your parents, not your friends. Providing you have good parents, you'll come through this without a problem, unlike a sociopath(Unless you are a sociopath, of course).
Right. Children are just small adults, in some ways. The priorities is what we try and instill to make them good adults.
So, the maturation process is essentially the instillation of priorities in decision-making?
I'd call that a major part of it. There's also learning that some things just shouldn't be done, occasionally by having our hands burned literally. The 'Make A Human Being Kit' is more, to be truthful, than these two things, but both are major parts because they help us interact with each other without, you know, killing each other.

What would you say the major parts of the "Make A Human Being Kit" are? --besides the ones mentioned. More specifically, how would application of those components change between a 'normal' person and an AS person?
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Damn, trying to fit all of human psychology.. Or at least parenting.. into one thread? You ask alot of me, man! As for normal vs. AS... I don't think there's much change, really, apart from trying to make sure the little blighter understands the need to go forth and get shit done.
You can kind of see the difference between mentalities between those that beleive they should go forth no matter what, and those that beleive they are 'special' and apart, from the former aspects of this thread.

I had a roommate last month whom I suspect has Asperger's/autism
1. He has an inability to leave out detail: I once asked him where he got a small souvenir. He could have answered in 2 words: 'Heidelberg, Germany', but he went on a round-about manner, answering at tangents. It eventually took him 2 hours before he finished his answer, and the next day he emailed me the website of the shop which sold him the souvenir. When asked a question, he tends to give memory dumps of everything he knows and anything vaguely related.
2. He is extremely obsessive with his work and interests. He would work non-stop when in the mood, and work all day and night without rest and only junk food for sustenance.
3. In certain matters, he is an extreme stickler for detail...he ALWAYS wears the same type of outfit no matter what the weather. I even suspect he sleeps in that outfit. He once also told me, 'I get VERY angry and frustrated whenever people leave out prepositions in sentences'.
4. He ignores things outside his immediate sphere of attention if it isn't a life-and-death situation. There is a stack of junkmail just inside his apartment door because he just picks up his real mail, and doesn't see the necessity of picking up the junkmail.
Does this sound like Asperger's or autism?
Those of you attentive enough might realise who this roommate is, but for reasons of privacy, please do not mention his name here. PM me if you would like confirmation of your guess.

It seems that Asperger sufferers do not like Change in their routine. They also don't like to get up and take out the trash.

Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

That I certainly can see in this thread; one hopes Dakarne gets over it and moves into the "go forth and get shit done" category.
And really, one could argue the same understanding should be put into every kid; laziness seems to run across the board. Hell, in an ideal world, I'd be sitting on my ass 24/7. Of course, in an ideal world, sitting thereupon wouldn't make me fat, so...
