I'd also like to voice my opinion that I prefer seperate threads.

Anyway, Ronin better hurry up and get some good character development, because I'm getting very tired of them showing us how uber he is.

Other than that I'm liking this episode. Mainly because I like Rodney so much. "Now, I need to get this done before I have a fatal seizure."

The Multiple-identity plot is what really saved this epiosde.

The Gary Stu continues to annoy, but thankfully he's shown to have the social graces of a half-trained Baboon. That's worth something, but not much in my book.

Ronin seriously needs to be shown getting his ass kicked nine ways from sunday. This wanking is tiresome.

But McCay and his passenger made this. Oh lord, that was great.

I really love the reaction of the friar when he revealed who he really was.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I'm sorry if it seems like ranting, but can I just take a minute to bitch at Sci-fi for removing the god damned opening credits from SG-1 and Atlantis? I loved that theme music, and their opening sequences, and the Sci-fi channel has butchered them for more advertising space. Supposedly they need more money. Perhaps they should consider properly funding their best shows instead of making shitty "original" movies like "Bloodsuckers" or "Alien Train"
And this is why you don't watch anything produced by Ronald D. Moore after he had his brain surgically removed and replaced with a bag of elephant semen.-Gramzamber, on why Caprica sucks

Ronnin didn't outright beat Teyla, he took her by surprise when they were supposed to have been paused in fighting.

Though I agree that he is getting wanked out too much. He shouldn't be the absolute best fighter. He doesn't know martial arts and his tactics are more thug and brutality intended. He also should not instantly know how to use Earth weapons.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Hermea (?) is going to carry this season as far as laughs go.

And I wanna see her more. Just to watch her torment him. And when she gets up in the morning.

No, gotta go with Dr. Fumbles McStupid.

For SG-1: The whole episode gave me a DS9 vibe, both because of Wallace Shawn and because the whole backtracking through a bunch of stuff to get what you want seems a lot like what Nog did in "Treachery, Faith, and the Great River." Was still a good ep, though.

For Atlantis: The episode was fine, but what I really want to adress is some of this bitching about Ronan. People, explain to me how it is wanking for a very large man who has been constantly fighting for his life for seven years and was a soldier with unkown but likely extensive combat training for some time before that to take out a woman half his size or a few much smaller Marines who were likely not expecting him to go quite so all out. As for his skill with a gun, I believe he was said to be a weapons specialist in his previous line of work, and that likely included training with projectile weapons. And he can't be a Gary Stu, because he certainly has no scientific or medical knowledge of note and probably can't pilot worth a damn, he's just a big dumb guy who can fight./rant]

I've now caught up with SG-1 and SGA up to episodes 3 (patiently waiting for eps 4) and I must say, I'm underwhelmed by the current SG-1 crop of episodes. SGA is fine, but SG-1 ... shit, it's taken 3 episodes for them to get going with this new threat, and I could really feel it dragging out. And I don't know if I like the idea of the Ori. Ok, so they're gonna build fleets to carry their warriors to the Milky Way- presumably Priors + warriors of some kind, not actual ascended Ori, since the Ancients/ Altarans will stop them from directly influencing anything. But how is Earth going to get out of this one without either making the Ori out to be colossal pussies or wanking Earth out too much? Right now their best ship is a sort of Asgard bastard- how's that going to be a match for a ship drawing from the technology of the Ancients?

Ancient technology is not the end all of technology. Asgard technology has shown itself to be superior in several key areas.

And judging from his performance in the cafeteria that's about all he can do.
