It has recently come to my attention that: in spite of the Imperial Smack Down issued to him by Darth Wong, in spite of the debilitating and humiliating beatings delievered to him by all of us, here, and in spite of the ostracism that greets him at ASVS, DarkStar is STILL posting his bullshit on SB.com and his website. I, for one, am tired of it. What is worse is that many people BELIEVE him. A recent SB.com thread that has come to the attention of this board demonstrates that many morons believe him to be ST's Mike Wong! I don't care whether you're a trekkie or a warsie, a fiver or something else altogether--DarkStar is a force that is intolerable on this Earth. He is an amazingly stupid little shit who gives all debaters a bad name.

In response to this, I am preparing to compile the complete destruction of his website, attacking every page of it, and dicing it to smithereens. Whenever possible, this will be done without the use of EU material--our only weapons will be the ones that DarkStar himself uses to compile his crap, and the weapons he provides us with by contradicting himself. Over Christmas, I have some vacation time coming, and I ask everyone if they are willing to aid me in creating this attack on his site. The attack will be mailed to DarkStar, posted here, on SB.com, and on ASVS.

To try to force DarkStar to leave the internet is unrealistic. The goal of this attack is merely to demonstrate conclusively, and to everyone involved, that DarkStar is totally irrational and that to compare his site to Mike Wong's excellent one is to insult all logic and reason. It will be difficult, but I believe that it can be done. Who is with me?

I just want to point out that this will increase his paranoia.

That said, I think a full rebuttal in detail may be warranted. As I am on 12-84s during Christmas leave, I will help if needed.

The fellow is thoroughly convinced of his rightness. Despite what I've told him, he sticks to that which he believes. I don't think such a person is capable of admitting fault, so I'm afraid that such an effort would likely be wasted...

The goal is not to prove him wrong in his mind. The goal is merely to prevent anyone else--even the stupidest, most rabid Trekkies, from ever believing him to be a reasonable person, or a good debater.

Will we be tapping ASVS and the trekkies (IE Lord Edam) to help work on this? I suggest that, even if we don't defeat DS, the existence of a page put together by both sides and some of the best debators out there will sway any who may tap it for information.

Besides, the hummiliation of the Trek contingent shredding his argument should be grand.

I applaud the sentiment, although I would point out that there are still people out there who say the same thing about Graham Kennedy (he of the unabashed "E-D's navigational deflector would make it immune to DS superlaser" idiocy). Mind you, I did this to GK's website a long time ago, so the idea of doing the same thing to Darkstar's moronic site bears merit.

It's on my Hate Mail page. GK is, in his own way, just as bad as Darkstar. After years of both logical rebuttals and ridicule, he absolutely refuses to budge from his claim that the E-D would effortlessly shake off a Death Star superlaser direct hit.

That really is a shame. I really love his size comparisons, I've played with them for hours. I wish someone more talented and knowledgeable than I would come up with a pan sci-fi version someday. I'd never leave the house.

I think it's a cool idea, but you apparently need someone to kick-start the action. I'm a bit time-limited, but here's what I suggest. Each individual should just start picking pages off his site and quoting/attacking his arguments right here in this thread. If enough people do it to enough of his pages, then you can eventually mix and match and combine all of the criticisms into the big ol' Darkstar Idiocy FAQ.

However, eyeball estimates based on a rough count of visible Senatorial pods suggests that there was only room for between 1,000 to 1,500 planetary senators (that's 30 observed levels at 36 pods per level (they get further away from each other the higher you go) for a total of 1080, plus room given for unobserved levels).

And he pulls planetary senators out of thin air.

Final Tally: 1,000,000 total systems
Member Tally: ~ 1,000 - 100,000 (rough estimate)

And he uses his bullshit "Republic split in half."
