I get this too actually. Very annoying, and since it happens in games I don't usually play, I don't bother looking into it.

The single player demo sucks. It looks like shit, runs like shit, and plays a little bit shitty. Waste of a download IMO.

Monolith, if you want to make a Doom 3, at least make it look as good, please.

Ok... are you sure you downloaded the right demo

I had more fun playing the demo than all of Doom3 ffs

Back on topic, my take of the game is very positive. It looks, sounds, and plays awesome. I cream my pants at what it'll look and sound like with my new rig.

My computer only has a gig of RAM in it, but I can run it at 8--x600 with everything at maximum, and there's no chugging.

Oh, just ignore the troll. Back on topic, finally got around to getting the demo, and damn, that's awesome. Hate to say it, but this's the kind of game that'll take me a long time to finish, simply due to only playing it for short spurts. Too damned twitchy for me to marathon

Turns out my system can run fine on 10x8 with everything bar AA/AF on max (and no blurred shadows, even though they look great). The characters slow me down substantially: turned on corpsestay and the Hind battle area chugged horribly with the six or so bodies on and around the platform.

Some things seem to need work: the AI is AWFUL ('hey, hear that prox mine activate? Lets dive out the window and see what... oh. A prox mine. Who'da guessed?') and the lethality is too low, even on Xtreme Legends. If you rambo, you get toasted of course, but sensible use of nades and sniping makes it quite easy. But I guess it's just a demo, and not a part of the proper game, so that doesn't matter.

They better implement firemodes in the full game: the rifle is nifty, but being stuck on four-round burst makes it less nifty. The enemy can survive 2 HV rounds to the forehead, and that's just silly. They get kudos for having the first arcade-style SMG that isn't totally useless on auto: a bit of slowmo and you can easily kill 3 guys with one mag.

The AI is better than most games- if you toss a grenade their way, they'll usually dive for cover (keep in mind the grenades detonate on impact with a live target) and they actually fire from fortified positions.

Okey, I've finnaly tested this thing to hell, this PC is quite happy running this at 800X600 at full detail ASLONG as I don't run DX9.

Same bloody bug as HL2, I'm going to fire my GPU.

Its awesome, and there are some parts I catch myself replaying.
