Nice pictures. I can attest to Medieval Times being a jolly good, er, time. Not cheap, but managable if you can wrangle a group together to go.

Incidently, as a sidenote that I'm sure everybody will be interested to know, I live three blocks away from Medieval Times in Toronto.

Looks like you had a great time; me and the kids went to a petting zoo yesterday. A little more tame, but it was funny hearing Daniel cry when the ducks nearby quacked. :D

Great photos. Mike, is your dog a Lhasa Ahpso or some other breed? My family had a Lhasa when I was young. They have tons of personality and are extremely cute as puppies, kind of like Tribbles with legs.

I'm still getting some humor from having pictures of guys in platemail neatly bookending a nice piece of field artillery. Is it just me or does it just cause a little chuckle?

You're just weird :)

Actually, they fired that piece off while I was there, during the artillery demonstrations. They also let loose with some older cannons. Basically, they fired that gun as well as everything in this picture:

It was, of course, fucking loud.

In that album of yours, I believe that unidentified APC was known as a 'Bren Carrier'-- driver, Bren gunner (that's the machine gun on the carrier there, in action it'd have been down on the fairing or sticking through a firing slot) with some passengers in the back. Used by the Brits in WWII and some time thereafter, I believe-- designed to provide a light armoured vehicle to support forward advances, if I'm right.

Excellent pictures, incidentally... :D

EDIT: More details: http://www.lancers.org.au/museum/bren.htm
