Zelda delayed to next year
Noooooo!
Well, it wasn't completely unexpected, but it seems like the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will miss the holidays, because the developers want to add extra levels and "depth" to the game. To compensate, Nintendo have released seven new screenshots. Two of which are of a town, that for once, actually looks like a town
Check it out!
That is seriously a lot of NPCs! I wonder if you can talk to everyone... Most of the models seems to only be re-used twice at the most (I count four fat knights and three old ladies with head scarves). Strangely enough, they seem to have a rather different style than the people from Link's village...

Damn, not that there was ever much chance of Nintendo releasing it in Europe before Christmas anyway.
Presumably they've learned from Wind Waker where the game was rushed to meet deadlines and it was not quite perfect.
Leaves them without any big Christmas hit doesn't it? If it was originally scheduled to go against the XBOX360 will it not be scheduled to launch against the PS3? Because I think that would be a bit silly.

Damn, that sucks.
Even more so, since I playtested it yesterday and it is a joy to play. (horseback combat rocks )

Yeah, that about sums it up. Looks great, though.Pcm979 wrote:*Shots of crowd running down a street, crashing sounds behind them.

Ah well. If it's to enhance the game's already mind-blowing mind-blowingness I guess it's acceptable.

Bah, this game getting delayed is a good thing. It means that they're actually putting some serious effort into it. So what if it's not out for fucking Christmas?

Not necessarily (about the beta-testing anyway). I read somewhere that there is some sort of Nintendo on Tour thing, where they would have the same demo available, that they had on E3. He probably played that one.Pcm979 wrote:He's rich, idle, and has beta-tested Zelda.

I'm not too dissapointed, as I wasn't anticipating this game too eagerly (although I'm definately going to buy it when it comes out), but I guess if it results in a deeper, less buggier game, it will be worth the extra wait. Unless, of course, they're adding three new dungeons in addition to the initial one they had planned.

Yeah, remember that this game is brought to us by the guy who said: "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever."Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Bah, this game getting delayed is a good thing. If he says they need to take some more time to make it better, I can live with that.

Motherfucker.
*sigh* Here's to hoping that the delay will be worth it.
But at least the screens look beautiful.

Out of curiosity, is Link the ONLY left-handed videogame protagonist in existence? If so, why?
