The Servant, anyone?

Post by Joe »

I just got their 2004 album (OK, I got the MP3s, fuck if I'm gonna drop $40 for an import) after hearing their contribution to the Sin City trailer. I've been listening it to for a couple hours and I've been really enjoying it. The lead singer's voice is a bit nasally at times, but that's not really a huge problem. Cells (duh), Orchestra, and Liquify I've found to be particularly enjoyable, and catchy in a way that isn't exactly typical for pop music. It's a shame they haven't had any success stateside.

Anyone else?

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

That might change. "Cells" is featured as the main menu song on the Sin City DVD, which I just bought yesterday.

The insturmental version of Cells is available for download on their website, but the awesome drum part that's in the trailer is... not in the insturmental version for some reason.

What someone needs to do is get an audio rip from the trailer at the same quality as the insturmental version, and splice it in...
