Looks good so far.

Say, have we done a Cylon witch-hunt yet? I've got my theories, and I know everyone else does :)

Just the opening minutes with Boomer and all the guns, yummy tension. God I love this show.

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

How consistent is Centurion armor? They're using pistols again.

The centurions that boarded Galactica appear to have been upgraded.

Damn it, everytime I decide whether Baltar or Rosalyn is the Cylon, the other one does something to make me change my mind.

Baltar's conversation with 6 convinces me its him. Then, the way the Cylons know the scripture that Rosalyn is following so closely makes me think they programed it into her. I don't think they both are.

I'll take all your bets on all of the characters, cause honestly if they are Cylons, the plot becomes useless and the show turns to shit.

Gaeta? Ya, I get the Toaster vibe from him.
Also, that preview of next week's episode made it look like Adama get's shot by Boomer, again. I really hope that's not the case, I'm tired of Tigh being in charge (though Adama isn't exactly doing a perfect job).

*stands up and applauds to Adama*

I like the approach on Adama's real comeback.

Instead of waking up and kicking everyone's ass, it's wake up, fracked by problems, then kick everyone's ass.

Next week's episode looks complicated and exciting, can't wait for it. 8)

I love the soundtracks to these shows. Who'd have thought that Celtic music would mesh so well with sci fi? I especially like the bits and pieces of military marches they put in there. Beautiful.

Minstrel Boy works so well in military drama. Its the song from Black Hawk Down.

I think its Minstril Boy they played, anyway. Its also the song from the episode Hand of God.

This is probably pretty damn obscure but did anyone else notice that those are almost the exact same mines from the Aliens Tech Manual? At least I think that's the first place I read about pop up mines.

Actually, iirc most mines are pretty much the same appearance-wise. A lot of this is because of design concerns-- with an anti-tank mine, you want it broad and flat, so the blast will spread out across the underside of the tank, flip it over (hopefully), at least blow the track(s) off. AP mines, they have to bounce, so they'll be smaller and lighter, often cylindrical because that way they can just blow right outwards. You get the idea...

My mistake, haven't been keeping up with the pace of landmine technology. Thought hopping mines were still a ways off.

Ah, where do you think the term 'Bouncing Betty' comes from? We've had land mines since the American Civil War (artillery shells placed fuse upwards in the ground)... not that much of a leap of imagination to put a spring in one, eh?

Don't worry, though... just bringing you up to date over the past sixty years or so of mine development :P :D

Nope. It ain't.

As for the episode, can't say I'm going to miss the priestess after she prodded Roslin into giving people her blessing. It's just felt sour the way she's kinda egged her along.

Galactica's pilot situation is obviously pretty grim if that's the best they could find as a CAG with Apollo and Starbuck gone.

Well, now we have some clarification on the "third of the fleet" comment. That's the number of people aboard those ships, not the number of ships themselves.
