A really sadistic VS

OK I've been thinking of making a thread that depicts some CW battles in same way as the "battles" page in the main site, here for taste of that

"The Duel" (Mustafar)

Jedi assets:Obi-wan Kenobi, a 37 year old Jedi Council member and the Master of form 3 of lightsaber combat. He also the former master of Anakin Skywalker
Jedi Objective:Destroy the Sith Lord

Sith assets:Dark Lord of the Sith Dath Vader aka Anakin Skywalker, the Hero without fear, one of the strongest Jedi or Sith in existence and the former Padawan of Jedi Master Kenobi
Sith objective:Kill or convert the Jedi

OK in ROTS "The Duel" was a failure to the Sith while Lord Vader survived injuries sustain during said duel caused him to need a life support suit for rest of his life and Vader was unable to kill or corrupt Obi-wan Kenobi. Of course it wasn't a Jedi victory either as Vader survived.

Would Worf/Kirk/Archer/Data succeed were Kenobi didn't:No while we might give them a melee weapon withstans blows from a lightsaber (perhaps even a lightsaber). None of these people have the powers of the Force or the imtimate knowlage or Vader's/Anakin's skills that Kenobi had

Would Worf/Kirk/Archer/Data succeed were Vader didn't:Again no, even if we assume that Kenobi can't talk he's out of this. His powers are of such scale that no regular human could defeat him and even Data is not immune to powers of the Force.

I don't see how any non-Jedi can win this short of having considerable firepower. You're essentially putting normal humans against a foe with ranged attacks and superhuman abilities.

Even if we ignore tricks like pre-cog and telekinesis the force users still have acrobatics far beyond anyone of the ST characters.

This isn't a sadictic VS, it's an outright rigged one.

, but your right that no ordinary human has any chance versus a Jedi or Sith (that's one of the reasons why Data is there), but short of the Q (and perhaps including them/him) there's no character in ST that both know enough of and has powers that rival those of the Jedi/Sith.

This is pointless.

Only an idiot is going to say that any of the Trek contestants have a chance in hell, barring a deus ex machina. I like Wars but if you're going to try and make a versus, do something that requires intelligence to acquire the facts rather then "The Death Star versus Picard in a space suit!"
