Now a computer controlled, Radar system, has a slight Chance of using a reactive armour or a point defense type canon.

Oh, it's physically impossible to See a round comming at that speed. anymore then it's possible for a deer to react to by Geo Metro at Highway speeds.
Damn right. The presence of a visible streak indicate that the round was far slower then claimed. The result of shit for rangefinders most likely. Not surprising since their sensors only reach out 3200 meters.

I'd really like to know what the phanboyz argument has become quite frankly. What the fuck are they trying to argue?

Yes, I would dare. When his setting out for the T90's stats are in the exact same order and the exact same wording as fas.org's? Or I could be wrong, fas.org copied off him. Regardless, the information is one and the same.
If you had a functional brain you'd have check the sources and methods page. Which credits Vasiliy Fofanov and armytechnology. Stupid moron.

That shells made of non-existent material fly fast yet slow and display the same accuracy against tanks as mobile apartment buildings.

Actually, it was a Zaku II carrying a 175mm Magella Attack cannon.

In the episode, Shiro is trying to drive a pair of Zakus out of a villiage, and into a rice paddy, where Karen and Terry are going to try to snipe at the Mobile Suits from 10m km away. Karen is worried that a shot "only 2 meters off" may set off their reactors. It should be noted that the two Gundams are leaning against a hillside, allowing it to absorb some of the kick of the Beam Rifle.

When the Zakus get out, Terry quickly fires a shot, but his aim is a little off. Karen gives him instructions on correcting his fire, while the Zaku pilot is searching him out by firing a few shots with the cannon. Before he can find Terry, Terry corrects his aim, and fires, blowing the Zaku's arms off, and throwing it to the gound.

And of course that explosive effects are reversed and based of gasoline rather then HE despite there being a more logical explanation, which however hurts their cause.

The point (according to them) is that a Mecha that is over two stories
high (17.5 metres) and weighs 70 tons, has a better armor thickness
than a T-90 that weighs 50 tons and is only 2.1 metres high...

Hey, to them, it doesn't have to make sense....as long as it violates
all the laws of physics and looks cool, it goes...

I re-checked the scene:
  • Karen was the one who fired the first shot. It only missed by a few feet, and that was because the Zaku unexpectanly stopped. Had it kept going, the shot would've taken out it's cannon, not to mention both arms.
  • The Zaku's return fire does not travel to Karen's position in two seconds, but one. And it is getting there that fast. You see the muzzle flash from the gun, then a second later, the round next to Karen's Gundam erupts.
  • Terry's shot hits its intended target, shearing the arms off the Zaku, and throwing it at least one full height before it hits the ground.

Though I don't particularly like mechs(The only ones I find worthwhile are Star Wars ones, where the tech level is so obscenely high they can do such), I will point out Sheppard and those on his side are being blatantly and stupidly bias in their claims of 'violates physics! Can't work! We win!'. These debates are not about who is closer to physics. A Culture ship pulls power from a space that shouldn't exist.. We won't claim it stops working when attacking RL Earth. If a Mech is shown to do something, you must debate as if it did. If that means RL tanks get owned by future mechs, that's how it is. That's the only way to debate fairly, and doing otherwise is making this truly just a tanker wankfest.

Technically you CAN see a 5km/s round with the naked eye... except that you won't see much of it and it'll be too busy blowing you up.

While anime is so detached from reality; for the purposes of all versus debates we assume science is still in force. If not, we just devolve into subjective nonsense- this is well established :)

The shot was slowed down?

If it crosses 10km in 2 seconds in the anime, the shot does 5km/sec. It is the height of dishonest debating to declare things that don't always fit in physics to be invalid. This is the sort of thing I expect from Dark Star, not ASVSers.
