When I'm playing HW2, I like the Bach cello suites; the solo cello seems to go well with the remote serenity of space, and it provides a wonderful contrast to the war action; it also tends to go with the slow pace of the game.

However, I've also found the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack appropriate, as well.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Depends on the game...

"I Walk Alone" - Greenday: This is very good for games where I'm playing sniper or lone gunman.

"Come on Feel the Noise" - Quiet Riot: Good for pretty much any situation. It's nonspecific.

"The Imperial March" is good for raids involving basically... 20 or more people.

Whenever I play Star Wars Battlefront I put "Charging Fort Wagner" on repeat. Makes the game seem 100% more kickass.

"Klethendu Drop" for Rome: Total War and X-Com.

"More Human Than A Human" for Mario Kart

I find I quite enjoy Starcraft's in-game music, especially as Protoss. Maybe it's just me, though.

I like to play some older Mortiis, back when they did Rennie music. Also, VNV Nation gets the blood going, and now, OCRemix - The Dark Side of Phobos has been thrown in the mix.

Heh. Not quite the same, but invariably when we drop a Molten Core boss or (especially) Onyxia, someone plays the Mortal Kombat theme over Vent. So perfect. :)

Curiously enough, I was watching Flash Gordon in the background whilst playing battle for middle earth. The pitched battle in the nebula cloud soundtrack would not seem like a natural thing to pair with a mumakil charge on a gondor city, but it worked fantastically and victory was assured. Not that BfME is that hard.

Right now, I am playing GTA:SA to the tune of Rub the Lantern by Melechesh. They are a little known Israeli black metal band whose music has a middle eastern flavor to it. Very Good.

Yeah that's what I mean. In my playlist it's listed as "I walk alone" for some reason, and I've gotten used to saying it.
