The 'tank vs mech' thread with a twist.
The Panzer corp has everyone of their tanks replaced with Arclite Siege Tanks(from Starcraft), complete with Shock Cannons. The Russian forces are composed primarily of T-90's.

Siege tanks win. Combo artillery pieces and driect fire weapons. Siege tank also seems more maneuverable than normal tanks.

Unless one of the novels had hard data a comparison is impossible I'd favor the T-90 in tank mod though. I doubt the shock canon is a shaped charge. Maybe HESH.

0,003kt for a siege tank in siege mode. SC also isn't that good in the
range department. T-90 probably outranges them by a good margin.

Though IMO Siege tank seige mode would fire 2 kt blasts with extreme accuracy. Or something.
Tank mode is just to move and the gun isn't very powerful because it can't be stabilized effectively.

instant kill an entire SC base and alot of stuff around that base too.
We all know that tac nukes in SC don't do this. Strategic nukes can get as
big as you want - and they have to be in the GT/TT range if you truly want
to fuck up a planet. But your tac nukes will still have less than 1 kt because
you don't want to kill your own troops with it.

This is one of the reason why most people ignore Starcraft debates. We have useless ingame data, balance skews too much, and then we have a manual and cut sceans which contradict and dont show much information anyway.

in the game. MT range means a pretty big blast radius and the radius
of a SC nuke is pretty small.
About tac nukes. I always thought nukes deployed on the battle field
