Actually we never see that Bioship get destroyed. All we see is the Borg ship explode engulfing the whole scene. The Bioship might or might not have been destroyed. However later evidence from VGR indicates that the Bioship was not destroyed. The reason is that Hirogen hunters find a damanged Bioship and board it killing the S8472 on board. It had been damaged quite severly in battle with the Borg. Thing is we know that the Bioships can mow right through Borg fleets (one Bioship against 15 cubes) with no problem. Its practically inconcievable that the Borg ever did throw anything against S8472 that could destroy it. The only reason the Borg ship even rammed the Bioship was because it determined that the continued existance of Voyager was vastly more important then the Cube itself. That might also explain why the Borg were not conducting such Kamikazi attacks prior to this. They wanted to assimilate S8472 and they determined the loss of hundreds or thousands of ships as well as planets is an acceptable loss in the face of being able to assimilate S8472.Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:dacis2 wrote:I thought it WASN't destroyed (the bioship)
...Yes it was. It went kaboom.
