Hmm... Good point there Hotfoot. Has anyone painted their RHino pink and called it "Pimp Wagon"?

Never seen that myself, but I would imagine that some Slaaneshi player somewhere has done that. :lol:

No, the weirdest any SM player (Chaos or otherwise) has ever gotten with me was the guy who came into a 3rd Ed tournament with a hasty 2nd Ed conversion (illegal by 3rd Ed force allowance charts) with his "custom" Space Marine chapter, "Charlie's Angels" (guess what color they were painted...)

Three words describe the following battle.

Easiest. Fight. Ever.

To put things into proper perspective, I wiped out his 1500 point force (which was allowed to respawn a squad for the purpose of the scenario, mind you) to the last man. Basically 100% casualities, which in this case translated into some 30-40 odd Space Marines. In return, he ruined the paint job on my Leman Russ Exterminator, and I believe managed to shoot and kill one or two of my own Imperial Guardsmen.

Obviously, his forces were suffering from the dreaded "Blonde Curse". Why else would a squad of assault marines stand on top of a hill behind no cover whatsoever while the enemy has nearly a dozen methods of hot, crispy death just waiting to applied with liberal doses of BLAM? Not only that, but why would their replacements choose to stand on the same exact hill only to be mowed down just like their comrades had been not moments before? :roll:

At the very least, the other SM players in the tourney gave me good, challenging fights which, though I lost, learned quite a bit from (and even managed to catch a few off guard with some of my tactics, for what little good it did at the time).

I'm referring to the course of events in the game, embellishing as is my nature. He didn't actually ruin the paint job on my tank, but he tried several times to shoot the front arc of a hull-down Leman Russ with a missile launcher (1/36 odds to destroy), never one penetrating or glancing. Thus, I figured that the best he did was blast off some of the camo the crew had applied before the battle. ;)

For the record, if any smacktard did ruin one of my paintjobs, I'd just pack up my things and keep him away from them. I would then repaint them and move on, forever remembering the person as the smacktard who fucked up my minis. This guy was just an very silly and foolish SM player, who I had the pleasure of smearing across the table with my 1500 point Guard force. :twisted:

Easy:

2nd Ed. Genestealers have four attacks.

Coincidentally, they have four arms.

Thus, Genestealers have four attacks per arm. :roll:

Needless to say, I (and several others) were quite quick to note that Genestealers have four attacks because they have four arms. It was Games Day and he was playing at one of the official tables, after all. :twisted:

Probobly .Thing I dislike about 3rd ed is there are no smoke grenades and frags are just added to an assault total.Man what ever happened to throwinmg em at an attacking force?

They negate armor saves as well, and with all those dozens of power fists, they'll either hit eventually or just burn a hole into the core of the planet, after which bad things will happen...

Actually, frags negate the "units in cover always strike first in close combat" effect, by means of forcing the enemy out of cover, essentially. Smoke grenades still exist in the form of smoke launchers on vehicles. But yes, I do miss the uses they had in 2nd Ed a bit myself, but it's no great loss for me. Less micromanagement is better micromanagement, in my opinion. If I wanted to keep track of every little thing my guardsman had, I'd play Necromunda.

Dont take Land Raiders against a Tau army with rail guns..i.e. all of them..
