Two new instruments (Warning: pictures. Not 56k Friendly)

Recently, I have had the joy of becomming the Daddy of two beautiful new instruments: a berimbau and an authentic didjeridoo. The berimbau was made as part of my capoeira angola instruction and took the summer for me to make by hand.

Here are a few pics of me playing my berimbau:




A closeup of my hands. In the right, I hold the stick that I strike the string with and a shaker called a Caxixi. In the left, I hold the Berimbau and a coin called a Dobrao to alter the sound.
