LOL, a friend of mine downloaded from the same idiot.

I never did get people who post mislabeled movies. How much of a laugh can you get by mislabeling a movie when its going to severly cost you on bandwidth like that.

It's public knowledge that the Associations of America have been actively spiking P2P networks with useless data. Somehow I don't think the MPAA cares all that much about wasted bandwidth.
It's not my place in life to make people happy. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to watch me slaughter cows you hold sacred. Don't talk to me unless you're prepared to have your basic assumptions challenged. If you want bunnies in light, talk to someone else.

Personally I always let it get a portion into it, then use the preview/play function to make sure I'm not getting screwed over.

Yeah but sometimes the preview function doesn't work which kind of forces your hand in the matter!

Have you seen some of the laws they are trying to get passed? Post 9-11 they tried to get a bunch of things tacked onto the "Patriots Act", including an ammendment giving them the right to hack your computer and delete any files they wanted.

Let's see, here's what I've tried to download in the past and what I've gotten instead:

WANTED: Blade 2 GOT: 90 minutes of carnival music
WANTED: Jackass the movie GOT: (On various tries) Sorority Boys, Planet of the Apes, Bad Company, Barbershop
WANTED: Scooby-Doo (I wanted to see the Scrappy scenes, OK?) GOT: Bad Company
WANTED: Spider-Man GOT: Housewife masturbating (But there was no sound and she kept all her clothes on)

Yes, my friends, many of KaZaA's users have nothing better to do than to misname files for their own amusement.

I've had this happen on Kazaa as well: I was tryingt to get Men In Black 2 (I refused to pay money for it) and imagine my horror when I discovered I was watching... Zoolander. I wanted to do something horrible to the lamer that did that, something involving a potato peeler and a fresh lemon. I also tried getting some of the music from Nemesis: the file I got turned out to be a renamed "Ground Control to Major Tom." I have to admit I laughed before the urge to do something homicidal overcame me.

Anyways, back on topic: I think a lot of people are passing judgement on this film before it's even out. Granted, it might be a giant suck-fest... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that bringing in an outside director is a positive sign. I do think that if it flops, it'll be the death knell of the Star Trek franchise: there are a lot of disgusted fans out there after "Voyager" and "Enterprise." If you get the chance to find any of the music, however, it's really good: the soundtrack is by Jerry Goldsmith and has a wonderfully creepy and suspenseful sound to it. I'm hoping the movie lives up to that, but I'm prepared for the worst.

Either way, we'll know December 10th.

I for one, as a Trekkie who hopes ths could be Trek's redemption and not the final nail in the coffin, can't wait to see Nemesis.

Besides, what could be worse than Insurrection?
