Can we say pyramid scheme kiddies?

Right on, Belgium! \m/^^\m/
Rather its the belief that we are suffering because the dead souls of aliens called thetans are infesting us, and through scientology we can rid ourselves of these thetans and gain amazing powers.

It still cracks me up to hear that people think Scientology should be treated differently from other religions.

So one of the papers confused their cults :?
actually there were 4 cults who sued (scientology and U.C. included)

Well, some other religions persist that stained peices of centuries-old cloth are holy icons. This religion thinks that a tool used in making crystal radios is a holy icon. Plus, they have SPACE EMPERORS.

I find the second funnier, personally.

Though there is no difference in principle, the various religions have their degrees of antisocial behaviour. Scientology is pretty egrarious in that regard, though they are hardly alone in that.

They're still exempt from taxes here, but they are under surveillance by our internal intelligence service, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, because there are indices that they work against the free and democratic state based on the rule of law (freiheitlich-demokratische Grundordnung) in Germany.
