The username for login that shows up when that log-in dialog box pops up during the booting of the computer is "Owner". Going into "User Accounts" from the "Control Panel", I changed it to "Kevin", but it still shows up as Owner. I used to be able to use "Administrative Tools" in the Control Panel to access "Computer Management" (at least I believe that to be the right one) to change it from there. But that was before I got my new computer. My new computer has SP2 installed, and I think that may have to do with the supposed removal of the ability I sought in Computer Management.
If I recall correctly, when I had my old computer and changed the login name in Computer Management, it took a few times before my computer got used to using Kevin instead of Owner, but I've already logged in a few times and it's still using Owner.
So my question -- if you haven't already figured it out -- is how to make it so that, when the login box pops up during the booting process, Kevin shows up as the login username instead of Owner.

If The Infinity Program were not a forum, it would be a pie-in-the-sky project.

Darn. How about XP Home (alternatives/other means)?

As I said in my first post, I already tried it from there. Even though I changed it, in the login screen that appears during the bootup process, I can replace "Owner" with "Kevin", enter my password, and login, but when the login screen pops up, it still says "Owner" instead of "Kevin" by default.

Ooh. Thanks, LapsedPacifist, for informing me regarding the means of changing the username for one using XP Home. And thanks, Faram, for trying.
