Antares...

That armored Alien, packing heat, is one of the most bad assed things, I have seen in a while. Two thumbs up.

Hell, you should see what the DECS are capable off in his Sci-fi universe. Damn they're tough! They're also really quite intelligent.

This is an unknown prototype W.T. from the Georgian republic. Speculation arises concerning its true purpose. Is this designed for direct battlefield support, or is it a peacekeeping/police asset? Time can only tell.

Nice that you like it :)
Once, i was eager to present the unit with descriptions in here.
But i put that thought away because i suspect i'd just get flamed for it.

@TheMuffinKing
Just some random things which came to my mind:
1.You should add reactive armor plates to your mechs.
Those would make sense i guess.
2.What about a 4 or 6 leged mech?
3.The overall form should be a little more rounded

Otherwise nice drawing. Keep it up :)

Thanks for the tips! My walking tank, and one of my mechs have E.R.A., but need a wee bit more detail. I will draw another!

This is a quick sketch of a mech made of components of a helicopter gunship. It's rough and quick, both in style and proposed function!

Yeah, the torso exaclty looks like what i had in mind with "rounded" :)
But i think the legs are a little bit too short :(

Very nice work

Three mechs with this update!

This first one is a 2nd generation AFVW 1:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... CF3142.jpg

The second mech is an older Soviet WT-66b outfitted with "Kontakt" E.R.A. and a modified "Shtora" defensive suite.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... CF3143.jpg

Lastly we have the cyborg infantry of the Martian Machine Corps with an unidentified cannon.

 Edit: my descriptions may not exactly match what is written...

You see, I want to steal your brain and force it to design things for me. Damn you're good.

Bloody hell. These are really good. I'm not a mecha fan, at least not those bigger than a tank(WH40k Titans don't count! :p ). But these are just the sort of practical-looking mecha I can imagine. Not too big, not too flimsy, and a real "nuts & bolts" style that I like.

Draw more.

Thanks for the input. If you're interested, I get a lot of inspiration from Anime like "Full Metal Panic", "Gasaraki", "Giant Robo", and "Votoms". I also research current armored vehicles and military tactics...over all I am a tank nerd :D !

Here's some more to whet your appetites!

This is a further development of the armored loader concept, with an arm mounter 20 mm cannon.

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!

Now that I have your attention... Here's an Avenger, in a really dark setting. Thank you photoshop!

Image

This is the "Fats Widebody", this combat robot is equipped to defeat light armor and support infantry ops from a remote and secure location.

Number 12, is a tech demonstrator used to showcase the latest in A.I. in a heavily armored shell. It is also the heavily armored cousin of the Tacit Ind. security bot. Regrettebly Number 12 never found a buyer.

I'll buy Number 12! I'll take it! It is a crime that no one bought Number 12!

This one doesn't look like it was made by Humans. I'm getting a strange Eldar vibe from it.

Top Secret!

Top Secret!

New! Smuggled from the secret design works of the Antares and TheMuffinKing alliance...Blueprints and prototypes of an upcoming superproject. These many prototypes represent the idea exchange between Antares and Myself over the past few weeks. The final product is shaping up to be quite spectacular...

Heres the first concept sent by Antares.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... hCoOp1.gif

This is an armored overlay I drew.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... hCoOp2.jpg

The red sketch, a rough preliminary...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... hCoOp3.jpg

A more detailed frontal view, with all sorts of cool stuff. This basically outlines the first proposed concept.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... hCoOp4.jpg

Finally, an isometric view of our first concept...unfinished. :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/ ... hCoOp7.jpg

These are just a teaser, a what might have been. I don't want to spoil the real surprise!

This isn't quite a mecha, but it is a cool cyborg trooper. Sorry for the blurriness!

Another example of the Martian Machine Corps., this squad leader is outfitted with an advance "ShearFist" bionic arm. MarsMarines rely heavily on cybernetic augmentation as a force multiplier.
