I was disappointed in the vehicles. I was sure that we were going to see Dreadnaughts and Victory Star Destroyers, as well as Z-95 Headhunters, Cloakshape fighters, Skipray Blastboats, Carrack Cruisers (those were in the novelization btw)...

...I was pleased to see the Juggernauts, as well as the Corellian Corvette, although they did the unforgiveable and got the scale all wrong...

I dunno. Mixed bag I guess. I was really disappointed in how much the models all were from-scratch designs, instead of bringing to life much other EU hardware. I think that, much like Star Trek movies switch out Bridge sets for their ships with little rhyme or reason for each next movie just because it's a new movie (even if the events of the films took place literally days or weeks apart), the design department felt they had to do everything all-new with this movie and ignored most everything else out there.

I was also disappointed in how little the battle of Coruscant figured in. I thought it would be much bigger than it was. It certainly didn't even approach Endor in scale.

I thought all in all RotS worked pretty well and had all the right elements in it, however there the one part that made me go WTF was when Mace Windu dies as I'd heard a rumour that Mace was supposed to be on Alderan when the DS arrived. It just messed things up for me since, as I hope everyone here knows, the original name for Star Wars was going to be The Adventures of Mace Windu.

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

Anyway, like some here have stated I saw Dooku's death scene coming as early as Episode II. What I didn't guess is how early it would come, and the subsequent use of Grievous as the red herring villain for Obi-Wan to chase around. While I wish we'd learned much more about Dooku than we did (we really should have met him as a Jedi in Episode I) this is less a failing of Episode III than of the previous installments.

I also knew Mace was going to die, but I didn't realize the exact circumstances. That scene was *masterful*. (Who wants him killed off screen on Alderaan, anyway? His character, all the way from Episode I, was set up to be a Jedi antagonist for Anakin.)

I also NEVER saw the Juggernaut coming. I didn't think they'd use any EU at all, but even if I knew they were picking one design I certainly wouldn't have guessed that one. Kudos for having one good tie-in while still coming up with many new designs. (Who wants a universe where everyone flies Z-95s, anyway?)

Actually, The Juggernaught was an Early ESB concept for an assault vehicle that was rejected in place for the AT-AT walker. EU writers picked it up and said that it was an old Clone Wars Vehicle, which stuck with it.

^ I know. You can say the same thing about the Z-95.

When I imagined The Duel, I had Neodammerung from Matrix Revolutions playing in my head.

i wanted Victory Star Destroyers in there. not Venerators (they're okay also), Mandator and Procurator dreadnoughts, and TIE fighters (the old Republic type)

^ Agreed, I love Venators but the Republic could have had more varied ships. I liked seeing V-wings as proto-TIEs though, and you can easily imagine that the next step from there was the T.I.E.

The major prediction I made about Episode 3 that was proven totally wrong was that it would suck badly.

The only thing that I can say is that I thought Anakin's origin would have been revealed. Immaculate conception? That's retarded. It should have been explained. I know lots of people theorize that Darth Plaguis or Palpatine could have created him using the force, but nothing was ever explained to be factual.

Also, I thought Boba and Mace were going to have a showdown. Nothing came out of Boba avenging his father. That was a missed opportunity.

A 13-year-old boy can face off against possibly the most powerful Jedi Master in the galaxy, and emerge victorious (at the very least, Boba survives)? Fett wankers everywhere would have creamed themselves over that. I'm glad that didn't happen.
