SDN The gathering cards?

Post by Chardok »

Yeah, baby. I have no artistic ability, or phtoshop, or anything. But I wonder if those of you who are into making MTG cards for like, sci-fi, politics, etc. could maybe use pics from the offcial member pics thread and maybe make some funny magic cards for the netizens here? I'd like one, but that's because I'm vain as hell. Maybe by request only, or something?

I could take requests of that nature.

Surlethe and I were conspiring to do something of the kind. ;) Though I had to put my part of the bargain on hold for awhile due to other projects. One of the things considered was doing some of the trolls in the Encyclopedia Moronica, for instance.

In any case, here might be the place to post suggestions for abilities and, of course, quotes to accellerate the project!

Uh oh...

Anyway, at this point, if a card for me is eventually made, I would like to reserve the option of selecting the image for my card myself.

I only spent a few minutes on them originally. And the problem is I am dyslexic and a spell checker will correct spelling but always not correct it to the right spelling.

This is a funny idea. I wouldn't mind having a card made for me. But I'm with Spanky on this one, I would like to choose the picture for it ;)

Thanks :)

It's why you get an independent party as an editor.

I was not arguing that just explaining why the spelling was bad.

Well, my reason for that is just because I actually have a particular avatar image in mind, and because I can also provide a copy of the original image for better quality.

Interesting. I definately would like to see how this turns out. Who has what kind of stuff, etc. On the rare event I might be used, feel free to use whatever, as long as it's not obviously degrading.

Damn. Did you read my mind or something? As a matter of fact, I'm not sure how to play Magic, though I have a very basic idea; however, LZ and I were in fact conspiring to create a deck of SDnet cards. They were going to be satirical in nature, but also reflect the actual hierarchy of the boards, to a lesser extent.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

I already assumed as much. I just want to reserve the right to choose which exact image.

You know you want to.

true it's a good thing that the brotherhood keeps certain threads to protect the rest of the forum from the damage they may inflict.
