I recently got very very very bored and decided to watch Voyager. In this episode the Peaceloving crew decided to buy some decent weapons. They bought a bigh "fuck-me" sized cannon and attatched it on to the saucer.
In laster episodes of Voyager they never use the fecking thing. Why? Did they forget it was there?

No. The weapon failed due to an excess of stupidity.

Nothing in Voyager ever had consequences associated with it--the purchasing of weapons, included.

That's like Voyager's never-ending supply of shuttles.
