Oh boy, species stereotyping that makes any other course of action practically impossible.

Is there a point to any of this aside from "me too"ing? Blasting the Ferengi simply due to their looks is actually a pretty stupid statement, since they would probably be the most loyal of collaborators.

Enthusiasm for the topic is good, you have that. Please read the site, read the forums, and come back with a head full of knowledge rather than restating opinions and things which are generally known and accepted. I did that stuff too with my first few posts IIRC.
First of all, my apologies. I did get a bit long-winded. I don't know if the Empire would have come after Luke or not, maybe Vader would have eventually "sensed" him and sought him out. I just meant to reinforce the previous few posts that living in the Empire probably wouldn't be that bad for the average joe. That quotation obviously wasn't the best example.

All else I can say is that the remark about the Ferengi was a joke, because I've always fantasized about blasting a few of them, since they always seemed a little silly to me. Obviously, you had no way of knowing it was a joke, since they are just words on the screen. I do agree that the Ferengi would probably be the first to capitualte to the Empire, because they would never pass up an opportunity like that.

As for reading the forums, well, that's a work in progress, and will take some time. But I'm working on it. :?

One last thing: Do you think the Ferengi's immunity to telepathy would also block Jedi/Sith powers? If so, that would be quite an asset for them. Thanks.

The Force has nothing to do with mental telepathy. There are a very few actual telepaths in the SW universe, and they are generally non-Force users.

They wouldn't block a Jedi/Sith causing the ceiling to come crashing down on them.

Shoot. I forgot to finish typing it out. :? I was referring to the ability that force users seem to have to sense the feelings of others, such as in ROTJ, when the Emperor says he feels Luke's anger, and Vader later senses that Luke's feelings have betrayed his friends and his sister. Doubtful the Ferengi could put it to much use, but I was just curious.

Those with strong mental control can deflect some Jedi mind probes, at least weaker ones, and they don't have to even be telepathic. It is possible that Ferengi minds might be difficult for a Jedi to read by their design, but considering that some Jedi can read and effect even the feelings of non-sentients, I would guess it wouldn't do much to stop them.

In the Wars-verse, both Hutts and Toydarians seem to have strong natural resistance to "old jedi mind tricks!". It would not be inconceivable the Ferengi resistance to telepathy might work the same way. Besides, unless you are a moderately powerful Force-user, it works only on the weak-minded, which I would think would not include the Ferengi with their extremely sharp eyes for business and ability to quote off dozens of rules of aquisition at the drop of a hat. "Rule #75: Dropping of hats is good for business".

Strong mind =/= good memory or strong business sense.
