I've got a Lvl 1 Fireman named Todd Sheffield over in Molebank, which is currently a quiet part of the city, not too much in the way of zombie hordes, if anyone's interested.

edit - corrected character's name.

I hereby propose that we create the SDnet Zombie Survival Theoretical Training Group

SDNZSTTG... Nice and concise acronym.

I'll try and find us a nice secure location to bunker down in and operate from... Any suggestions? Should we head over to Molebank?

Sounds good to me, but since I'm all the way over in Lamport Hills it's probably gonna take me a day or two to walk there. Go ahead and PM me with the structure you've got in mind.

I'm currently barricaded inside a building in Pashenton - if you head down that way we can team up - you should be able to easily make it on 50 APs...

Well, my first day of playing was rather...unsuccssful. I started out as a Zombie, attack and ate a dude, but then ran into a dozen or so survivoers and was gang-banged by them. Death on the first day of playing.

After getting myself up, and spending my last 10 AP getting as much distance between myself and my pursuers, I created another character, a fireman. I have prowled the city searching for zombies, found none, and tucked myself into a fire station for the night.

Finally, getting bored, I created my third and final character, a cop. As soon as I did, I was swarmed by zombies. At that point, my 160 AP limit was approaching, so I was beginning to feel screwed I managed to get away and tuck myself into a library with a level 1 consumer, with at least 5 zombies level 3+ a mere 2 screens away. Soon, I will be a flak-west wearing zombie.

Have a very nice day.

I think that they really a genuine "safezone" for survivors somewhere in the city, because its a pain in the fucking arse to be killed in your "sleep".

Is anyone else having trouble logging in? I haven't been able to for the past three hours. This kind of sucks, since I was forced to leave my character sitting out on the street.

weemadando wrote:JESUS! That area around Shearbank is just fucking terrifying for a first level character (medic) - too many fucking zombies - I just did a hellrun through 3 screens full of zombie occupied territory...
Shearbank was the headquarters of D.A.R.I.S., which was a something awful group that claimed ownership of the suburb, killed anybody not a member, and defied everyone to take them out. The zombies oblidged.

That's death as a zombie. I expect to get killed every single day on my zombie character. Once you get the combat upgrades though, you can pretty much kill a person every day on 40 AP.

The problem with that is that survivors already outnumber zombies 3:1, and it takes about three times as many zombies as survivors to breach a well-guarded safehouse.

DARIS is/was a bunch of elitist PKing pricks.

PARA is like a benevolent zombie killing machine. You can hang out with us even if you aren't a part of the group- just don't PK or spy for the rots and we're kosher.

Hmm... Pitneybank isn't too far from my current location, and I'm a scout, so I'll try to head there over time.

On a side note, is the site down for anyone else?

Yes, it's down for me, too. A real pity, since I was intendint to put some distance between my cop character and the zombies tonight.

So, anyways, are we set on a location to meet up in?

Have a very nice day.

And, after looking at the tracker, my suspicions are confirmed. Tollyton is zombie-free. If you want to hide out for a while, try heading there. If, OTOH, you want to level up, then you should look elsewhere.

Have a very nice day.

Well, apparently, the game is back up. My cop character, he survived in the libraty, and made his way to the hospital where I found a bunch of level 10+ peeps. I also found a zombie right outside, and gained 15 XP kicking it (also ran out of ammo :().

The fireman is still in the fire station

The zombie is lying dead outside a hospital full of survivors. There are 2 guys standing over me, and a 6 more a block away. I'll wait till I get 50 AP, then rise and get the fuck out of the city to a more zombie-friendly location (Wray Heights ain't it). OTOh, it seems to be reasonably safe for humans, (and its right next to Tollyton.)

Have a very nice day.

Fuck fuck fuck... I have one action point left as I look for some place to hide, I find a very heavily barricaded building and think, "hey, that looks like a great place to rest!"

I jump in and there's no humans and three bodies.

This has the potential to be a very bad half-hour...

Drag the bodies out. It gives you XP, IIRC. Also, it seems that if there are 3 bodies, than the zombies have been there. So, perhaps, they won't come again.

or, you will wake up a zombie.

I might drag them out if I wasn't out of action points. :P

Wait 30 minutes, then drag them out. :P You might also want to drag them out because these dead players will wake up as zombies, and you do not want to be in the same building with 3 zombies.

Have a very nice day.

I myself am holed up in Club Rodham (in Ruddlebank) with no AP, and no bodies around. Feels good to be Ken Goh.

mmm...I'm going on a Zombie murdering spree tomorrow.

3 loaded pistols, 4 loaded shotguns, 10 pistol clips, 2 flare guns, 2 spare shotgun shells = lots of XP. Hope none of you zombies are around me tomorrow when my APs hit 50 :)

Kaede Tanaka here, L1 Soldier. So far, I'm holed up in Shadwick PD, in Paynterton area. It's unassailable with dozens inside usually, and I'm already stocked massively on ammo. :P
