Right. On my PC I have a Geforce 4 Ti 4200. It has my normal VGA monitor linked to it, and my TV via the s-video port. This worked fine, and I had a 2nd desktop on the TV that I used mostly for sticking videos on.
I reinstalled windows, as I do every year. No hardware changes, same drivers were reinstalled, except this time neither windows nor the nvidia software will detect the TV. Turning on the "force TV detection" didnt help either. The TV is turned on when windows boots to allow it to detect it, but it won't.
Any ideas?
TV-Out Problem

Ha! I have defeated the 'Nvidias TV-out implementation is flaky' curse and passed it to you!
I found removing and reinstalling the drivers got a successful redetect. The very latest drivers have a few additional options to stop the drivers getting to clever and lose the config. I've always had a struggle to get TV-out working properly and consistently on my Nvidia cards, and never a problem on the ATis.
One of my Nvidia cards (6800GT) needs this done every time. The other one I use for TV-out will only switch to the TV when windows starts, even when it's the sole display. Nvidias TV-out implementation is flaky.
