A sense of scale

Post by Ender »

1 pixel = 10 meters

All movie ships.

Now it needs a little work still, the Executor is a bit blurry blown up, I need to add a bunch of rebel ships, and some are short or large a pixel or two. But it does convey the necessary impression.

What's the one immediately under the Executor? Mon Cal?

And you've got the right idea... it might work better with actual pictures though and not outlines... ;)

Otherwise, pretty impressive indeed.
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

The Executor's Bridge plateau is about the size of an Acclamator. I never thought about that before. :)

Yes, the Home One

Unfortunatly, I have neither the time nor ability to create full pictures of the ships.

I think thats mainly due to the bluring as it scales up.

Cleaned up the Executor a bit for you Ender; removed most of the blurring and some of the artifacts outside and inside the image. Its a really nice size chart though.

Thank you, I plan to expand it and make 2 versions, one pure canon ships, one canon and eu.

Then if I can shrink it enough, one with them and the DSs.

Nice going with the scales! Mmmhh, Star Dreadnought-dominance *drool*

This wouldn't by any chance be somewhat inspired by my land craft-scaling project, would it?

Like this?

Though I think that picture doesn't have all the ships that Ender is trying to compare.

Could you composite some of the SWTC's images? IIRC, there are images with all of the observed ship classes in them.

EDIT: These.

A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Not so much inspired, but definately helped along by. I'd wanted to do something like this for a long time, but couldn't figure out how to draw the ships. Your thing showed me "hey, just fill them in and paste them with paint" could work.

Aww, thanks. =)

My real dream is to one day draw them on my own, side by side. Problem is, I'm not that good at drawing, so I'll have to practice alot. But it's definitely my big goal with hobbies like this.

Has there ever been any estimation made on the Doomgiver's size? (Jedi Outcast)

IIRC, its a Corellian battlecruiser as labelled by Bob Brown, and pinned to be 6.9 to 13.4 km by Saxton.
