Tell me, if I want to fire those shotguns or pistols Chow Yun Fat style, without reloading till they're all out, do I have to drop each one after it's done? That seems wasteful.
You've got like.. ten arms. You can empty each pistol, then use the next one as if that pistol had a 24 round magazine. So later, after combat, you can hide, and take like 10 turns to reload every gun. Don't ever drop anything.

Now how do people coordinate so well?

Wheee. I stored up 50 AP and then saw 4 zombies gathered outside my police station stronghold. With advanced pistols, a ton of ammo, and Jet-Li like moves of rolling down banisters, firing guns with my hands, feet, and teeth, got 'em all. I love you, RNG for leveling me 4 times in one day. :P

What does this mean?

"A flare was fired in your block." [Ed.- Probably by Zafo, considering:]
[1 minute later] Zafo: "Six to Seven Outside Now."

Edit- Aw, hell no. Checked for a pair of AP and there's six zombies and some poor sap out of AP outside. I don't know if they are capable of taking down the barricade, but I only have 2 AP plus whatever I can generate before the shooting starts.

After that, loot and then run. Assuming we win.

Someone fired a flare to attract zombies, and then wants to fight em off. Bad idea of there's 8 of them... unless you've got your own mob.

16 people, some of them above level 12, mostly at 1-6. I don't know if they're even active and they're doubtless not coordinated. I don't know if 6 Zombies will be able to break a very strong barricade by tomorrow. Should I cut and run? I don't have Free Running or anything capable of getting into a heavy barricade, and I don't know any other safehouses.

Fuck that asshole who's probably been the one firing flares all day closer and closer to our PD.

Six zombies will be able to break a very strong barricade if no one does anything to reinforce it.

Four guys have construction, but I don't know if they're active or how many AP they or the zombies have.

So that's a cut and run, then? I have absolutely no AP right now so I'm pretty screwed, no?

Edit- Shit, barricade is down to quite strong and I only have a single AP. All I need is till tomorrow and I might be able to flee (though I'll probably be stuck in an unfortified building or worse, the street).

Hmmm going to quickly kill another zombie, and save up enough experience to get construction. My plan is to eventually create my own safe house, around medium barricade level, in a building that zombies don't frequent. Police departments are obvious zombie magnets, and who would want to attack a church?

I would make the barricade level low enough so not to attract suspicion, but high enough that it would take a concerted attack by several zombies to break it down. Then I would come out and use free running to go into police stations for ammunition, and return to my safehouse every night.

Metagame thinking hehe.

Churches are not very good safehouses, They have no doors, so zombies often use them as their own safehouses of sorts to spend the night away from human zombie hunters and their headshots.

Leave, a single building is not worth fighting over, no single location is worth the chance of dying, hit and run.

I find that there are enough premade safe houses around that it's just a matter of looking for one that isn't too conspicuous. My firefighter is holed up in a factory, nothing in it but him but it's already barricaded so its nice and safe. That and there's a bunch of zombies next door who I've been doing hit and runs on.

It's been vaguely discussed that we might all clump in Tollyton and kill some zombies with a modicum of coordination or not. It's one southeast of your neighborhood (lucky bastard), but I doubt anyone else is there.

Barricade hadn't been damaged overnight by much, and I have 26 AP... nearly ready to run like hell.

Bad news, comrades. A group of DARIS wannabees called the Paradox has claimed that the Mall in Tollyton and the surrounding area is human territorry under their protection, promising to headshot any zombie in vicinity. And they bragged on the forums about that.

That, of course, means that Tollyton is about to become the next Shearbank, and that the Paradox folks will soon be visited by The Many or the Undying Scourge.

Time too look for a new hideout. And damnation, my character's safehouse has been claimed, too. And I've been returning there after hunting zombies since the beginning of the game. I'll probably stick around for a day or two, then look for another residence in another suburb.

Any candidates for a new settlement?

Have a very nice day.

Fucking secessionists... Don't they know how screwed they are? Paradox, even if they had a hundred members, couldn't withstand a snowballing seige effect like The Many has- especially since The Many and DARIS often share members, which means The Many didn't participate fully. Especially in a fucking mall, where they'll have to spread out to all four corners.

Morons and bastards, ruining probably the safest neighborhood once word gets to The Many and The Scourge. I'm tempted to run into a Zombie-controlled neighborhood and shout a message just to speed the process.

Westward Ho- Grigg Heights and Reganbank are the best, with no known groups or anything. Low zombies, light blue/light green Zee-Tracker colors. They're located in the Western Middle, and shouldn't be too close to Tollyton. If too many Zombies start to turn the south into the new Northern Feedings, we'll just head to the Northwest and get behind them and essentially end up on the safe half again.

And fucking across the city for me, but I'm not in it for my own welfare when picking rally points. I'm going to run as fast as possible because I'll have to skirt the center near Shearbank to get there before any horde does.

West and East becktown are claimed but very clear, neither of the Irregulers will have problems sharing the street.

I don't think SDNSAG is really a group any more than a stampeding mob is an army- we're (Or I am, and I make up probably between 25 and 50 percent of SDNSAG) just looking for a place to hole up while we loot ammo and then make strafing runs on small quantities of zombies.

Regardless, that might be a good idea, since Grigg Heights is only a little southwest of the Irregulars, who sound like they're doing a good job. Is PLEB a problem in East Becktown?

[Just as a little personal note:
Status- 32/50 AP, preparing to leave.
Barricade up to very strong,
[#?] Zombies outside- besiegement in progress.
If dead bodies reanimated and stayed there and the survivor outside died, there are 12 Zombies.]

By the time you get there, we expect West Becktown to be mostly clear of zombies and barricaded to high but not extream.

The entire Northeast of West is good, I'm not good on East geography, thats 2nd territory, I'll bring DarkSteele for the geography lesson there.

darthdavid, the Kempsterbank Neighborhood Watch supposedly exterminating the zombies in the neighborhood. KNW membership is unknown but they are a new group and maximum membership is probably twenty, so you're probably on your own.

Concentrations are as follows:

1-9- All of West Side [60 Hours Ago]
10-19- Northeast [100 Hours Ago]
20-29- Southeast [30 Horus Ago]

Be advised that 20-29 is probably more accurate than the others because of age. This possibly means the KNW has been lowered in power, but unlikely- probably just a random clump of zombies in the neighborhood. Better than anything in the North, regardless.

Necrotech is often a location that Zombies will go to if they wish to be rezzed or look to eat people collecting gear, but is probably safer than most other buildings. Additionally, the Wiki doesn't list a Necrotech building in that location, although I believe if I'm reading it right the map lists the Jillard and Dobbs buildings as ones. So it might not be common knowledge, or at least very common.

[Shit- in addition to 6 Zombies, there were 5 dead bodies and a survivor out of AP last night. That means by now there's assuming a 10% boredom-spawned attrition rate, 10-11 Zombies outside.]
